A/N: Unless stated otherwise, this story will be in Izuka's POV, enjoy!

There never was a "perfect" quirk, but there were always lesser quirks. Demon was a "lesser" quirk. My quirk, that's all, that's all that they need to know to realize that I am "worse" than them.

Izuka never wanted to be perfect, just... recognized. Recognized for who she was, not her quirk, demonized.

Name: Izuka Midoriya

Quirk: Demonized- she has the ability to breathe fire, she has fangs, an incredibly high heat and pain tolerance, a demon tail, red eyes, horns, and she can burn herself away to appear somewhere she can see or has put her mark on. Her mark is a series of runes made from ash (sort of like a spell circle) the ash can be washed away but her mark will still be there, the only way for her mark to be detected is through holy presence, only she can remove it.

Biological family: Inko Midoriya (mother), Hisashi Midoriya (father)-divorced

Guardian(s): Inko Midoriya

Of course, I don't really care all that much, the only friend I have is Katsuki "Kacchan" Bakugo, who also happens to be my bully. But I don't mind, at least he's there for me, unlike everyone else. I don't really care much for school, but I go, for mother's sake. I already know the material, I could teach this better than the teachers could, but that would require showing the world my true self, and that is dangerous when you have a quirk like mine. Let others bully you for a mask, not your face. That's how I survived.

Flashback: 4 yrs and 3 days old, park with kacchan (a/n: flashbacks in 3rd pov)

"Kacchan, I got my quirk!!!" Izuka yelled, stumbling over her tail as she ran towards Kacchan. The boy, quite confused on how she got a tail in the 4 days since he'd seen her last, commented "yeah Deku, I can tell, what is it anyways?" covering his rude voice with polite words. "I can also breathe fire, watch!!" seemingly unknowing of his rudeness, Inko rushed up, holding her daughter's shoulders as she whispered something in her ear, "remember, no fire, the fire is bad" Izuka, confused, replied with a little nod. Inko went back to Mitsuki, Kacchan's mom, on the bench.

The two played, arguing over who's quirk was better. When Izuka laughed and accidentally set the wood chip bed of the playground, on fire. "IZUKA!" Bakugo was yelling as he ran to the top of the structure, "UP HERE!!!!" the boy being frantic as the flames quickly spread across the playground, with Izuka in the middle of it, scared as the flames licked her body, burning away the summer dress she had on, leaving her to the flames, they crawled up her body, burning the flesh away she wasn't screaming, just watching. Eyes wide with curiosity, looking at the flames as the engulfed the playground, she just burned away.

"IZUKA!!" Bakugo was screaming at the top of his lungs crying, "IZUKA". He couldn't take the feeling of absolute hatred of the flames she produced, that took her away, he bent over crying, the smoke stinging his eyes and lungs, he couldn't continue like this, he couldn't live without his best friend, he couldn't live without her crazy smile and playful eyes.

He felt a small hand on his shoulder, he looked over, seeing Izuka, just staring at him "why are you crying?" she was confused at this, she loved the flames, the flames take her places fun, they help her feel better. "What... Izuka?" he was confused, confused at her presence, confused at her existence in front of him. "Yes Kacchan, what is it?" she was smiling now, a soft, sweet smile that was concerned for her best friend. "B-but, you were just ashes, how are you h-here?" he asked through his tears, "the flames took me here when they saw you crying, aren't they nice?" she was sitting next to him, just looking over the landscape, their mothers were frantically calling the police, she was confused, she saw nothing wrong. Inko in tears, why was mom crying? There was nothing sad. Mitsuki yelling at the phone, why yell? There was nothing bad? Nothing went wrong?

"Izuka, why did you burn the playground?" Kacchan didn't understand why she would ruin it; Izuka didn't understand what was wrong with the fire. "It was just an accident, there's nothing wrong... right?" Izuka was remembering her mother's words, no fire, the fire is bad, the words, that's when she first realized, she was different, and the world would break her if she was like this.

End of flashback

That's when I realized that I would need a mask, I made everyone believe I was scarred. That I would never be the same. That I wasn't ready for "the real world", as if I didn't already know the hard truth. I know how this world treats people who are different, so I can't let them know me.

Everyone would think that the experience left me in a state of mental disrepair, everyone thinks I am naive, everyone thinks that I am just a childish mind in an evil quirk and a weird sense of the world. I am none of those things, just the only one who sees the world for what it truly is.

Hey Fox girl here! This story is not pre-prepared, this is freestyle, which means a lot of mistakes, a lot of weird combinations of words, and lot of random thoughts. This is my first ever story of any kind. I hope you enjoy it!! Feel free to correct me, but no hate pls!!

Love you all, Bye!!
