Autumn Leaves

Clare stood looking at the world outside her window,

wishing things were brighter-

lighter and simply better.

Her life had lost all the love and hope in it.

He was gone and all she had was nothing.

If the universe didn't even let her have him, i surely wouldn't allow her anything else.

Clare looked at the autumn leaves drifting slowly down to the ground.

She wished she could call him and tell him about that book she read-

or hear him sing her favorite song, just to please her.

She missed everything about him,

the way he laughed,

the way he smiled,

just how simply joyous he was-

when he was alive.

Clare just wanted some sign from the universe that everything was going to be all right.

Right now- all she wanted was to be with him and knowing she couldn't was a tragedy in itself.

Clare sighed, wishing for him- oddly enough, to comfort her.

One single autumn leaf suddenly plastered itself to her window-

the perfect shade of yellow.

She smiled at it as the tears she had shied away from all day, came at last.

Yes he was gone.

Yes she had still loved him,

but at least she had met him.

Meeting him was something great and beautiful that she could have never planned-

and she was glad she had met him.

There ya go!

hope u all liked and stuffs,

enjoy the song at the side, this version of the classic song by the beautiful Emmy Rossum!,

I will resist the urge of putting a letter at the end of this,

I'll really try not to this time! :P

anywayz, gonna be uploading my next story here this july/august (summer) vacation only cause I can't put it now cause u know...school and exams n stuff,

but I have some of it written out already, so yea XD

*btw, just wanted 2 say that I could have used the Ed Sheeran song Autumn Leaves, but while that is a beautiful song, I thought this 1 made more sense, like it fit better with the story, so yea*
