I was the deep before it was

the deep and the dark

before you cut it with the seeing of your light.

I brought your mouth to my water

and made land and man from me.

In the beginning there was me and I

created mass with the will of my desire.

Me! A physicist!

For refreshment there was fruit,

a crystal ball that told me all your secrets.

I charmed your eyes against the garish day, and voila,

eve.

Then we ate the knowing

from a tree that wasn’t growing.

And oh it so was good.
