Sweet moon of comfort

Sweet moon of comfort,

comfort me, push the tide upon me

making friction on the sand.

I am the land and he

the sea of waves and waves and waves.

Sweet moon of comfort,

the peace of me rests there.

We three,You and me and me,

are bigger than the wet-behind-

the-ears-ishness.

Sweet moon of comfort,

have you love to spare?

With your soft rose in the hard hazy mist, be more

than a lunar companion.

In the vacuum you create

be more than my conscience,

more than my hunger for the sweetness.

It’s too soon to leave. My darling,

Stay

and pray with me against the pull

that lulls against temptation.

Stay

and say you’ll offer me the ebb and flow,

the wax and wane, both yin and yang,

the soft wet rose that froze

without the comfort of the moon.
