"Elena..." I look at the man sitting in the office, at his desk.
It's my boss talking to me; Robert Dewey. His tone is surprisingly calm, compared to the tension that had started to creep up on his face just as I entered the room 2 minutes ago. Behind Robert are 2 security men. One on his left side, and one on his right side. They're dressed up in formal suits, a classic pair of tinted sunglasses, and big, polished shoes that probably would slow down their speed if they had to chase someone.
And of course, the most important thing to have on you when you work for the CIA: guns. The guy on the left has a big black AK-47. A Russian killing machine. Not only is it a weapon that was invented just after WW2 that people are absolutely terrified of, but it is also blessed with the ability to shoot 10 bullets per second, using a standard magazine.
That means 600 bullets in a minute, still only using a standard magazine. Oh yeah, you can get fancier magazines that shoot even more bullets even faster.
The guy on the right, though, has a basic SIG Sauer P365. An agent with good reaction time can get it to shoot 5–8 bullets per second, but an average person can get to about 4 bullets per second. It was released in Las Vegas in 2016 at the famous 'SHOT Show'. I was there together with 5 other agents of the CIA. It was a mini-case; make sure nothing happens, and everything goes smoothly.
Some of the agents I was in this case with were Agent Petrov, Agent Miller, and Agent Bourne. I don't remember who the other 2 agents were. It's been some years since that—2 years, to be exact. It's 2018. Shit, time really does fly.
