"Take your brother outside as fast as you can! Don't look back! Now Dean! Go! "

I shot up from the bed in a cold sweat breathing heavily, trying to remember where I was. When I looked around and saw that I was in the bunker, I calmed down. I tried to close my eyes but every time I did, I picture dad handing six-month-old Sammy to me and telling me to run. Since that day it had been my job to look after him and this time, I failed. I couldn't save him this time and I think that was where most of my pain was coming from. Guilt.

"Dean, are you awake?" I heard Charlie call from the doorway. I slowly sat up and turned on the light.

"Yeah, what's up?" I asked, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. She came in with another burger.

"You've barely eaten since you came back. You have got to be hungry. Eat." She ordered, handing me the plate. I smiled and took the plate from her. She knew what I was going through, she lost her parents at a young age.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked, she nodded as she sat down on the desk chair. "When...you lost your parents, how did you...get passed it?" She looked at her feet before clearing her throat and looking at me. I could see the tears as they welled in her eyes.

"I don't know. I just...One day became easier than the day before and the next day easier than that. Until one day I was able to live with the pain. Dean you will get passed this. I promise. You have Cass, and Kevin and me and we are all here for you." She said. I smiled at her and placed my burger on the nightstand.

"Thank you, Charlie. I know that's what Sam wants me to do. I know he wants me to move on but I just can't see passed this whole. It's dark and deep and I can't get out." I told her. She got up from the chair and sat next to me.

"You will, Dean. One day, you will." With that she got up and left. I took a deep breath and looked at my burger. She's right. I thought to myself. I will get passed this. I just need to work on it. One day I will be able to live with the pain, just like I did when dad died and Ellen and Jo and Bobby and Rufus. I will be able to live with it.

I found myself looking in library for something, but I didn't know what. Maybe a book? I didn't read. Something to do. That's all I was doing the last few days, wondering around for something to do.

"Dean, hey can I talk to you for a second?" I heard Kevin say. I turned to see him right behind me.

"Yeah." I sat down at the table across from him and waited for him to start.

"It's about my mom."

After about an hour, Kevin explained to me that Crowley may have lied about killing his mom. That she may be alive somewhere but he doesn't know where. I told him I would help him. I just needed to find Crowley first. I had let him go seems Sam had succeeded at curing him of being a demon. He was for all intents and purposes human. I called the only phone I knew that he had but I got an answering machine.

"Crowley, it's uh, it's Dean. I don't even know if you use this anymore but I have to talk to you. So, when and if you get this, call me." I set the phone back on the table and waited. I went back to the kitchen and some food before came back to hear the phone ringing. I quickly answered it.

"Crowley?" I asked, putting the phone to my ear.

"Squirrel." I laughed a little, hearing the British voice on the other end of the line.

"I see being a human hasn't changed much." I said, referring to the nickname Crowley had given me a while back.

"What do you need?"

"Kevin's mom. Is she alive? " I asked. Silence fill the air as I waited for an answer. I was a little afraid that he wasn't going to tell seems he wasn't answering.

"Yes. She's in a storage unit in Wichita Kansas. Castle Storage." He answered before hanging up.

I got Charlie, Kevin and Castiel together and we all went to Castle Storage. I walked in alone to the front desk and saw a nerd wannabe standing guard.

"Hi, friend of Crowley's. Here for a pick up." The kid didn't move. He just looked at me. "Look, it's been a long day, can you please tell me where Crowley's unit is so I get whatever is in it and leave?" The kid just continued to look at me like I was crazy and he actually looked kind of scared.

"Look, I don't know who Crowley is but there are units with his name on them. I don't even remember assigning them. It's just in the book." Son of a bitch. He was possessed. Which means that when Sam closed the gates, the demon was sent straight back to Hell.

"Okay, can you please tell me where they are?" I asked, a little more polite. The kid showed me around back and I thanked him. I waited until he was out of sight before opening the door. Once it was open, I looked in to see a girl huddled in the back, hiding her eyes from the light that now covered the entire unit. She wasn't Mrs. Tran but maybe she could help us find her.

"Hey, I'm here to help you. I'm going to get you out. I promise." I said, slowly walking over to her with my hands out to show no harm. "What's your name?" I asked. As her eyes began to adjust, she looked up at me.

"Candy. My name is Candy." She answered. I nodded and started to work at the chains that held her down. Once she was free, I helped her up and out of the unit. Once Kevin saw that this was not his mother, he looked disappointed.

"Is there anyone else here?" I asked, once she was seated on the pavement. She looked up and around us.

"Um, yeah. There was a lady, an older lady. Her name was Linda. She was in the unit next to mine. I think in that one." Candy pointed to the unit on the left and I opened it. Charlie was sitting with Candy as we went in.

"Mrs. Tran?" I walked in and noticed that no one was in there so I went to the unit on the right. Bingo. I saw Mrs. Tran chained just like Candy was with a dirty cloth in her mouth.

"Mom!" Kevin yelled, running over to help her out of her chains. I ran over and assisted. Once both the were safe we all climbed into the impala and drove off.

We took Candy to her home town and explained to her that we DIDN'T help her. She got away. That someone, she didn't see who, kidnapped her and left her in the unit. She seemed to get it and walked away.

When we got back to the bunker, Mrs. Tran asked where Sam was, she wanted to thank us both for keeping her son safe. I couldn't answer, so I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a beer before coming back to Charlie explaining what she could. I just sat down and drank my beer.

"I'm sorry, Dean. I truly am." She said, once she was done talking to Charlie.

"Thanks." I simply said. I still didn't know what I was going to do with myself now that I don't have to save the world anymore. Do I start a new life somewhere? Do I just drink myself into oblivion? Do I stay in the bunker? What do I do?
