One fine evening, in the reds and oranges of the sunset, you and your date, Jack, sat at a rooftop restaurant, having wine.

Jack — the same guy your best friend Jimin warned you about. Maybe because Jack was a well-known jerk, famous for breaking hearts, or maybe just because Jimin was jealous. You still ignored his warning and went out on the date with Jack, knowing that Jimin would be pissed.

Jack excused himself, pretending to be on a phone call. You nod with a smile and wait while sipping your wine.

Time passed, but Jack did not return. You looked around, trying to get a better sight of him, but did not find him anywhere.

You could feel anxiety gradually creeping up in your heart. You tried to call him, but every call ended with being ‘busy’ on another call. You got blocked by him. Did he just dump you on your first date? Did he just ghost you?

The sky now settled in its dark tones with shining stars, yet your situation seemed dull.

You sigh in disappointment and pay the bill. You could turn to only one person whom you trusted with your life — Jimin.

You dialed his number and anxiously waited as you heard the phone ring. Finally, he picked up the call. After a few seconds of anxious silence, you heard “Hello?” in his cold voice.
Damn, you knew he was hella pissed off. However, you had no choice.

You sigh and whisper his name, “Jimin…”
“What happened?” he replied with a tone that immediately softened.
You explain everything to him over the call — about the date and the part where you got ghosted.
“Stay still, I’ll be there in a few,” he said in a stern voice and ended the call before you could reply.

He walked towards you. As soon as he reached, he stood in front of you with his hands stuffed in his pockets, with a look on his face that quite said, “I warned you prior, didn’t I?”
