CHAPTER 12

"stand here" he said as he made me stand facing the sea .He stood behind me and covered my eyes with his hands

"Manik...ye...kya..."

"Shhh" he whispered "Just one minute"

He slowly removed his hands and I opened my eyes to a breathtaking view.

The first ray of light had pierced through the darkness. The red rim of the

sun slowly pushed itself above the horizon which now seemed to be

stitched with a line of silver.The sun painted the sky red and golden.It was

divine .It was spectacular..The sound of dancing waves and chirping birds

made it look like paradise on Earth.

I looked back at Manik who stood with his hands folded on his chest.My

eyes were gleaming with joy.

"Open you arms and take a deep breath" he said as he held my

arms from behind and helped me do so with his own.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to engulf in the pure and

refreshing morning air.I felt blessed to be experiencing one of the

most heavenly feelings.

"Nandini"Manik broke my trance as he turned me to face him"This

is my favorite hang out place.I often come here at this time and

spend hours with these elemental forces of nature .This place is

like a second home. Isn't it beautiful" he spoke very softly

admiring the beauty of nature.

"Its ecstatic"I replied in the same tone as his

I looked at him in surprise as he knelt down in front of me and held my

hands .My heart was throbbing as I anticipated what he was about to say.

"Nandini Murthy" he started speaking " keeping these epitomes of

beauty as the witnesses to my feelings , I wanna tell you that I

LOVE YOU VERY VERY MUCH...more than words would

ever say.I will love you till the Sun will shine on Earth , till the

last drop of water dries in the oceans and till these birds stop

chirping.I will love you every moment ...hamesha ..."

I stood still as if the time had stopped in the moment.His words

were so pious.Tears welled up in my eyes .He got up and stood

on his feet I instantly hugged him and wailed against

his chest.The lump in my throat didn't let me utter a word.

"shhh" he said rubbing my back " why are you crying?"

But I couldnt help sobbing.His words had touched me to the core

.

"don't cry my doll, you know na I hate your tears." He spoke

kissing my head "Unless you want me also to start crying with

you" he said holding my arms and looking into my eyes.

I shook my head as he wiped my tears with his thumbs.

"Do what you're good at...smileee" he added.

And I smiled seeing his smiling face.

We spent a few hours there walking hand in hand, discussing

about each other, teasing each other ,savoring our new found

love and then came back home,

"Achha listen , I have two very important meetings lined up

today, back to back , so I might not be able to keep in touch

during the day.So don't panic haan!" He spoke as he pulled the

car in front of my house.

I nodded in agreement.

"but you should know that I will miss you, my love"he said kissing

my hand.

"Bye" I said softly.

"Bye" he said pecking my forehead.
