Story information

This story follows the original manga storyline of Hunter × Hunter, but I've added my own backstory, character development, and additional plot elements.

Some scenes follow canon closely, while others are expanded, rewritten, or completely original.

I don't own any characters except for Y/n.

Characters are slightly aged up, but the romance will stay very light - the most you'll see is something like a kiss. No smut. They're still kids after all.

This story may include darker themes later on, such as:

- character death
- some gore (mostly light, possibly more later)
- occasional cursing
- other themes that will be warned about in individual chapters

Pictures used are not mine unless stated otherwise (currently I only use the banner I made for chapter beginnings/endings).

English is not my first language, so there may be mistakes. If you notice any, feel free to comment so I can fix them.

This is a slow burn, so don't expect immediate romance. The relationship develops gradually as the story progresses. The story focuses not only on romance but also on plot, character development, and backstory. I try to keep Killua and the other characters as close to their canon personalities as possible. If you ever feel like a scene makes someone act out of character, feel free to point it out in the comments - I'm always open to improving the story.

Feel free to rant about characters and their terrible decisions in the comments. I promise I won't be offended. Just try not to direct that hate at the author.

I also ended up reading basically every fanfic about Killua, Chrollo, and Feitan... and somehow that turned into me writing one.

I also wanted to write something longer to improve my writing skills. I have a bad habit of starting stories and never finishing them, so if this one actually gets finished it will be a miracle.

I have reread and edited these chapters so many times it's almost painful. Some chapters were rewritten more than fifteen times.

Also: writing full canon scenes sometimes feels like torture.
Update 1: Heaven's Arena arc, I hate you.
Update 2: I still ended up writing a lot of canon scenes anyway.

Update 3: I've been editing this story since March and it's already April... but honestly I'm glad I did, because the book is much cleaner now. Though, I do apologise to my readers that were excited to start Yorknew City Arc.

Update 4: Editor's exhaustion is no joke. But I'm close to finishing editing finally!
