CHAPTER 2

"Tangina, ang sakit ng ulo ko, gago." I muttered to myself. As I looked up, I scanned the room and immediately panicked. "Where the hell am I?!"

I quickly looked around to find my bag and it was placed on a table, neatly cleaned. Kinuha ko 'yon at tinignan ang loob, sabay tingin sa damit ko. I sighed when I saw I was still wearing my clothes from yesterday.

Kinuha ko 'yung cellphone ko at Dali daling chinat ang mga kaibigan ko, asking Kung nasaan sila at nasaan ako.

acxu : kagabi kapa namin hinahanap

aikohikari : where the hell are you?! alam mo bang pina hanap kita sa tauhan ni daddy.

Ngumisi lang ako ng mabasa ang text nila, nag tatype ng reply kaso may biglang tumawag na unknown number kaya napatalon ako sa gulat. Full of hesitation, I still answered the call. "H-hello? Who's this?"

[Good morning, is this Mahika?] The voice spoke, a cold baritone voice. I hesitated to answer but I did.

"Yes, who's this?" I spoke, almost a mumble.

[Mr. Lim, your boss. If you're wondering where you are, you're in my condo. Clothes are layed down beside the bed, go to the Chanèl building for your first photoshoot.]

Out of shock, I remained frozen. I didn't know what to say or what to do. "Okay po, thank you." I spoke, a short answer. Then I ended the call.

What in the world am I doing last night that I ended up sleeping in my boss' condo? Just what the hell, Lai?!

I quickly texted Allistair to come and pick me up kasi mahihimatay na ako sa hiya dito. Hindi ko alam ang ginagawa ko, tangina. I sent my location to Allistair and quickly fixed my things, and myself.

The door suddenly made a sound, someone was probably knocking. Good God, I hope it isn't my boss kasi I would die right here. I went to the door, preparing myself.

"Goodmorning, ma'am, kain daw ho muna kayo bago umalis, sabi ni sir." Bati ng matandang babae na naka maids uniform, hula ko ay ito ang head dito. Mukha din siyang nasa 40's na.

I smiled at her and shook my head. "Hindi na po ate, andiyan na rin po ang sundo ko. Salamat po."

"Oh siya sige, hija. Ihahatid nalang kita sa baba at baka ikaw ay maligaw." sagot naman ni ate. Hindi na ako tumanggi at baka nga maligaw nga talaga ako.

Pag labas ay nalula lang ako dahil sa akala kong simpleng condo eh, penthouse pala.

"Ay, wow! Dito ho nakatira si sir?" Tanong ko kay ate noong nasa salas na kami, papunta sa pintuan.

Ate laughed for a minute then answered. "Minsan ay doon siya umuuwi sa bahay nila pero minsan dito siya umuuwi, hula ko ay tuwing mabigat ang nararamdaman niya o kaya ay gusto lang mapag isa."

"Ah, mysterious. Mabait po ba si sir, ate?" Walang kwentang tanong ko, dahil sa paglamon ng curiosity, eh kung ano ano na lang ang nasasabi ko.

"Mabait naman 'yon si sir, nababayaran naman kami ng maayos. Hindi rin naman kami inaabuso at kung tutuusin eh pinag daday off din kami minsan." Sagot ni ate na para bang miss universe itong mga sinasagutan niya.

Ngumiti na lang ako at nanahimik na lang dahil malapit naman na kami sa exit, at andon na din naman daw si Allistair. "Mauna na po ako ate, salamat po."

Pag ka pasok ko sa sasakyan ni Allistair ay sinalubong ako ng napaka daming tanong. Kamusta raw ang performance ng boss ko. Siraulo ampota.
