Bundle Madness Drabble Part 90

Start from the beginning

"Did he lie about your liking it." Gave the old dog a look.

"Like it? Is that all you told them. Just like it!" She snarls at her husband direction. "You didn't tell them I ate the whole thing? How it was the best thing I ever had? It even beats what my grandma made and she knew how to bake."

"You didn't even save me a piece."

"You already got them to cook for your game's nights and whatever else you have been hiding. I bet you ate the icing to see how it turns out."

"He did."

"Traitor."

"But you did? I barley had any left to save."

"Well, I saved you space for the fridge."

Mox muttered under their breath in Spanish about being too old for this. Then it hit them a second. Wait. Weren't they technically 21 now? Let that oddly sink in while the couple just go to bite into the other.

"You know what. Mox. Are you busy this Thursday?"

"No, clue what I'm doing tomorrow."

"Good. Sign me in for a reservation!"

"Reservation for what?"

"Book club."

"Book club?"

"Noo! You all will eat him up!" He knows once they get a hand on Mox, they won't get them back. Doesn't help that half of them are their buddies' wives, husbands or dating someone. So, will lose that battle.

"Good!" She barks at him at the crying dog. She smiles back at Mox direction. "What you say? Care to cook for us a few old buddies of mine?"

"Is this coming out from the rent money to return back to me?

"What? You haven't paid them!"

"I paid for this cake."

"What about beforehand?"

"I would just give them the rent money back for the day. Plus, the guy's pitch in to give them tips."

"No, wonder they look skin to bones." Motion the imp up and down. "Barely any left to feed themselves while you all fill your pot stomach up."

"This is my normal look." They're not that skinny. Right? The couple barking at each other until calm down.

So, did Mox cook for the book club?

They did. Ask for details of any allergies to be aware. Quantity. Did a dish with a dessert too. Cook up a buffalo chicken and rice casserole. Garlic bread. Peanut butter brownies.

One of the positives not having to bring it as it was picked up. Book club host at her home so they went to get it.

The next day arrived Mox was half listening to Angus talk about some sports game. Only was at front desk to look through the newspaper clipping. Next, thing they know Bess runs inside quickly to give them a hug. Kept the cane up for distance and thought she was going to attack. "Did something happen?"

"You little miracle worker." Bess claps her hands as her tail wagged. "Last night it was all delicious. We had nothing left to save as the other couldn't stop eating or took stuff to go."

"So, good happen?"

"Good couldn't describe it. Barely focus on the book. Which was terrible anyway when I chose it. A great distraction. My buddy is going to host the next one. She would like your number for a reservation to make food that day."

"Uh?" What is going on here for real? "You sure about that? Why not another."

"Nope you."

"You sure?"

"Stop asking the same question."

"First the book club take dibs. Next, will be asking about."

"Asking about what Angus?"

The plates lunches were then revealed.

Done!

Enjoy this one? I did. I had so many directions this could have gone. The idea what food, drinks can be like in Hell. It never truly good just enough to survive, and in taste. Same with how Mox/Error ability works around it.

Should there be another part? It technically not done.

Tadda! Did it to past the time.
