Fragile- Part 26

Madison's P.O.V

Ugh I really can't stand Lexi. Like she is all about bmx and I don't understand how people can stand to be around her. Yeah I admit she was okay, but she was never nice to me and she always rolled her eyes at me. I thought Canadians were supposed to be nice. But I was so wrong. Why did she have to steal Jack away from me like honestly he is all mine but of course she had got take him away and I hate that.

Lexi's P.O.V
So far I pulled it off first place but you never know what could happen in the next two. It's scary sometimes. The start gate gets intimidating. I got all my stuff back on and headed up to staging because they were soon to be calling my motto.

They called all the girls I was racing up. and last was me. in gate 6. Never I have I ever been so nervous in my entire life. But this is the moment I have been waiting for, for my whole life. And then it hit me, my mother isn't even going to be here to experience this with me. No matter how much she hated me doing this sport she always watched and always supported me. I kindly thanked the lady and walked up with all of the other girls. We all wished each other good luck. We all got into the start gate and set up and got balanced. I got into the zone and prepared myself for how I am going to push myself to always do better in the next gate. 

"RIDERS READY..." The gate speakers blasted. 

"WATCH THE GATE" I clipped in. 

The 3 beeps and we are all down and out. Going as hard as we can in hopes of coming in 1st. I was racing my ass off in order to keep my first place position up. So far I was in 3rd place damn were these girls amazing. We were all going around the second corner everything was fine the first straight was smooth and it was going good then BOOM as we were coming out of the paved corner the girl in first had a terrible crash, she blew a clip and slipped taking everyone down with her. The girl in seconds bike went flying and landed right in front of mine. I flew right over my handles bars my feet still clipped in and I landed right on my side with my bike following and hitting my leg. I was in so much pain I could not even try to explain it, i do not normally cry but I was about to cry right now. all 6 girls were crashed and all injured but I do not know how bad. We were laying there all sore and shocked from what just happened and then the track officials and ambulance people came running over. 

"Please do not touch me or my bike" Me and the girl in 4th place all say as we sit up. Because if the anyone touches you or your bike then you are disqualified and automatically get last place in that race. All of the other girls slowly sit up also and we all slowly stand up finding are bikes and checking the conditions to make sure they are still ridable. The girl in second tried to get on her bike only to notice her chain ripped off and she blew a tire. She definitely could not continue to ride. I picked up my bike by the frame and picked hers up by the handle bars and handed it to her. 

"Common we will run across, we are finishing this thing. Together" I told her and gave her reassuring smile. She grabbed her frame also and we both started running around the track only to have the rest of the girls we are racing grab their bikes by the frame and run with us. We are all laughing and basically supporting each other. We all cross the finish line not even knowing or really caring who comes in first or last. We get across the finish line and we take off our helmets and ask if everyone is okay making sure our gear and bike is all okay. Everyone looks pretty good but my entire back of my jersey is cut to shreds and my ankle kills but that is okay. That is what i love about this sport everyone supports each other and makes sure we all get across the finish line safe and sound. We all went to go get water after making sure everything is okay.

"ALEXI WHAT WERE YOU THINKING YOU COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED" Jack said getting pretty mad at me. 

"You my love need to calm down, I was not in the mood to get disqualified and I am fine so do not even get me started" I told him grabbing a water bottle. 

It was now time for the hour break and being able to eat and drink and just relax for a little bit. 

"Lex you scared me half to death I do not enjoy seeing you rash at all I almost had a heart attack. 

I just ran up and wrapped my arms around his neck and pushed myself on my tippy toes since Jack is like 5'11 and i am only 5'2. Jack breaks his serious face and smiles and kisses my forehead. He looks down at me and i raise my self and kiss his lips. We both pull away smiling. 

"Only worry if I'm not okay, but I am so don't freak on me okay baby?" I said to him raising one eyebrow. 

"You are one tough cookie my little bear" He said and kissing my nose while I just scrunched it. 

"But does anything hurt are you going to be okay?" He said getting a little worried again. 

I just smile at how cute and protective he was being. 

"Jack I am really fine" I said taking a big gulp of my water. 

The rest of the clan decided to go get something to eat after my race because they were getting really hungry.
