Making him fall to the ground in pain.
(Everyone will remember that)
But Robert didn't stop there.
While the old man was still on the ground, he began to aggressively stomp on him, then proceeded to kick him in the stomach multiple times without showing any intention of stopping.
It was a very difficult scene to watch, but for the author, it was hilarious and very satisfying.
Another thing worth noting was that no one in the audience tried to stop Mecha Man. They even seemed to be slightly encouraging him.
Time skip.
The scene shows Robert watching the interview on a TV in the TV store. The TV he was watching had a large "Sale" sticker on it. He was wearing a jacket to protect his identity since he was still wearing his Mecha Man jumpsuit.
On the TV, we see reporter Big Fat Bitch, whose nose is broken and covered in blood. He's being interviewed about what happened with Mecha Man—specifically, how Mecha Man kicked his ass in front of everyone on national television.
Big Fat Bitch: Do I want to sue? Of course, but there are two issues there. He clearly has nothing left .... and he was wearing a mask, so...
He said, making excuses and trying to sound like a brave victim or something.
Interviewer: How do you feel about the crowd seemingly encouraging him.
Big Fat Bitch: It did explain why after the first three minutes or four minutes no one was stepping in, yes. I was disappointed with the chanting.
Robert stands there for a couple of seconds, just soaking it in. That is, before he gets a notification on his phone. He takes it out and sees it's from Peter.
This surprised him quite a bit, as they hadn't spoken much since he woke up from his coma. They hadn't argued or anything like that, but there was definitely tension between them. Robert knew that his decision to go alone was the cause of his friend's anger.
So, seeing that it was him sending the message made Robert happy.
Peter (test message): " Just saw the interview. Fuck that big fat bitch. It's a good thing you put it in its place, otherwise I would have swung all the way there to do it myself."
Robert stares at the messages for a couple of seconds, a small smile creeping on his face. Even if it was just a message to mock and insult the jerk reporter, he felt very relieved to hear from his friend again.
He goes to message back, but is interrupted by the sound of glass breaking. He turns to his left and sees masked robbers robbing the store of its TVs.
Robert stood there, uncertain. He knew he had no chance of stopping them without his suit and with his injured body.
But... he also knows he can't let them get away with it.
Robert sighs and takes out his Mecha Man mask and puts it on.
Mecha Man: Hey. Assholes.
The robbers (Those who from now on will be called "skittles") look to where the voice is coming from, and see Robert in full Mecha Man gear.
Mecha Man: Yeah. All you assholes. Pretty disrespectful for you to be doing this in front of me.
The guy in the red ski mask points at Robert.
Red skittle: Aye! Who are you callin' assholes, asshole?!
He goes to get out of the truck, which was carrying all of their stolen merchandise. But a different robber with an orange ski mask steps in front of him, a crowbar in hand.
