After more than four months in the hospital, Mecha Man finally announced he was ready to address the media.

End of POV.

The scene changes to a press briefing room, where multiple reporters talk to each other as some others set up cameras and fix up their notes.

Everyone begins to quiet down when Robert walks on the stage, still in his Mecha Man jumpsuit with his arm in a sling, cameras flash as he taps on the mic, making it emit a small bit of feedback.

Mecha Man: There's been a lot of speculation about my health and the state of the Mecha Man suit, and I'm here to put that speculation to rest. The suit has been damaged beyond my ability to repair, so I will be stepping back from superhero work ... effective immediately.

As Robert does his speech, his voice sounds devoid of all life, showing how his defeat and loss of the suit did affect him. When he finished his speech, multiple cameras flashed, as reporters all stood up and began to ask questions:

'Does this mean you're finished?'

'Can you repair your suit?'

'What's next for Mecha Man?'

'Does this mean your career is over?'

'How badly were you hurt?'

They asked Robert these and other questions without giving him a chance to answer any of them.

The mass amount of reporters spat out questions, their hands raised high.

Mecha Man: One at a time, please.

Robert reasons. Most of the reporters sit down except for one.

Reporter 1: Ashley Rhiness, San Pedro Daily. Do you have anything to say to your fans? The public outpouring. The vigils. A lot of them were worried you wouldn't wake up.

The reporter questions him. Robert thinks for a couple of seconds before responding.

Mecha Man: I just want to say thank you all for the support... I hope to be worthy of it.

Murmurs ripple through the crowd as a different reporter stands up.

Reporter 2: Chris Stratton. Torrance Tribune. Does this mean you're retiring as Mecha Man? Word on the street is you're donezo.

Robert quirks his eyebrow at the man.

Mecha Man: Are you a hundred years old? Why're you talking like that?

The reporter furrows his brow, clearly not liking his answer. While the others let out a few chuckles at Mecha Man's comment.

Chris (Reporter 2): Answer the question, buddy boy. Are you retiring? My readers need the skinny, and I aim to deliver. Let's get it on the record'

Author (me): Seriously though, why does he talk like that? Is that how he always talks, or is he just trying to sound interesting? :v

Robert didn't want to give this asshole anything, but sadly that question was valid and he felt he owed an answer to all the people who supported him.

Mecha Man: Look... I'm not retiring... not yet at least ...

Robert said honestly, further piquing the reporters' curiosity.

Random Reporter: And how will you be able to continue being a hero without the suit?

Mecha Man: Honestly... I have no idea ... But I'll never know unless I try. ....
