Blazer encourages with a small smirk on her face. Robert puts down his drink, shaking his head.

Mecha Man: Not true, whaddaya call this?

He quips as he uses his finger to push back his thumb all the way back.

Blonde Blazer: I can fix that for you, too,

Blazer jokes as Robert stops pushing his thumb back, letting his thumb snap back into place.

Mecha Man: No thanks. I like this one.

The bartender comes back and puts down two glasses.

Blonde Blazer: Thank you.

The two sit in comfortable silence as they mull over their drinks.

Blonde Blazer: So how'd you afford all of that?

Blazer asks, breaking the silence.

Blonde Blazer: You must have spent hundreds of thousands of--'

Mecha Man: Millions.

Robert interrupts as Blazers' face drops.

Mecha Man: So you'll understand when the check comes in.

Robert continues as Blazer still looks bewildered.

Blonde Blazer: You're serious.  Millions.

Blazer says, disbelief still evident in her voice.

Mecha Man: Yeah, I basically burned through my entire inheritance keeping it going. The last few years have just been duct tape, sheer determination and some very generous donations from an old friend.

He chuckled as he remembered his best friend

Mecha Man: Even though that web-slinging idiot is in a financial situation that would give me a run for my nonexistent money

Robert admits. Accidentally revealing Spiderman's information due to alcohol.

Although it wasn't a big deal, they generally avoid talking about each other when on duty as heroes, to avoid attracting the attention of their enemies or people who want to discover their secret identities.

Blazer's eyebrow cocks slightly at the mention of a friend.

She easily understood he was talking about Spider-Man. And she seemed interested in that information, thinking Robert might be able to help her with something related to the web-slinger. But she let it go for now, thinking it wasn't the right time.

Besides, right now she was more interested in what Robert had said about spending millions to maintain the suit.

Blonde Blazer: Wh-why did you do it?

Blazer questions.

Mecha Man: Do what?

Blonde Blazer: Sacrifice everything to be a superhero to the point of financial...

Mecha Man: Ruin?

Robert finishes her sentence for her.

Blonde Blazer: I was gonna say hardship, but ruin was the first word that came to mind, yeah. You must be completely broke at this point.

She asks earnestly, waiting for his response.

Mecha Man: I don't know, I guess I just like helping people.

(Blonde Blazer will remember that)

He says, smiling. Blazer stares at him giving him a smile before breaking into a laugh.
