Dōman's fingers clenched in his lap and Geto silently chuckled. Perhaps Boe hadn't realized, but this man had a reputation. That was the entire reason they'd come to see him, especially with the rumor that his technique involved controlling curses. That would certainly make this situation complicated — this man was possibly an ancestor of his.

"Yes, I have heard that," Dōman said, keeping his expression calm. "Seimei is prone to showing off. It's that filthy fox blood in him, I've heard."

"Oh? Is he related to Tamamo-no-mae?" They asked. Their blue-green eyes sparkled with excitement suddenly and Geto welcomed the interruption. He was starting to get irritated and didn't want to push too hard and lose their foothold. Also by Boe's refusal to look at him, but that would have to be addressed later.

"The resonate fox, Kuzunoha," Dōman corrected. "And she's still in hiding from what I've heard."

"Why?" They asked, their curiosity practically vibrating through them. Gojo's eyes were wide, the glow of the six eyes blinking to life. Geto could see it, he was thinking the same thing as they were. If this fox turned out to be a resonate then it would change so much. That would open up a new can of worms, but admittedly they were very exciting worms.

"Well, because Sukuna would kill her of course," Dōman said matter-of-factly. Then he raised a brow as Gojo's hands couldn't help but clench at his hakama and his face was painted with curiosity. "You— you are a strange one aren't you?" Dōman asked, "What kind of technique do you bare, if you wouldn't mind sharing?"

They inhaled in a sharp hiss and grimaced. "Well, so that's complicated," they said, then smirked. Their eyes shifted blue, the six-eyes lighting up bright. "But if you've met Mitsuru, you already understand."

"I thought as much," Dōman chuckled, "I see the resemblance." He turned to accept a pour of sake from Boe, smiling softly at her. He gave the tiny cup a swirl before sipping. "So then why do I sense a resonate?" He asked calmly.

Geto stayed perfect still, but he knew Nanami must have shown his unease. Dōman raised a brow, setting down his cup. "Are you one of Lazarus' failures?" He asked, resting his elbow on the table then his chin on his hand.

"In a way," They shrugged. Then smiled, "But let's not talk too much about our relationship. What do you know about Lazarus?"

"I know he's a barbarian," Dōman said with a scowl. "Too take away our resonates was a cruel over reaction on its own, now he's shoving their souls together like clay and expecting the sorcerers to survive." His eyes scanned over them before he asked, "How is it that you seem unaffected?"

They couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, I promise, we're very affected," they said, "But again, don't ask. Tell me what you know about Lazarus."

Dōman sat up straight with an exhausted sigh. "He keeps dumping their failed corpses on my land," he said. "We've been conducting own investigations when we find them."

"Forcing two souls into one body isn't meant to be a permanent thing." He finished off the drink, grimacing at his cup as he placed it on the table. "I've not spoken much with him, but I do not trust him," he said, shaking his head. "

"Nor do we," Nanami agreed. "We are looking for a suitable vessel to hold our resonate—"

"No we're not." That was clearly Gojo, but his hand slapped over his mouth and he smiled. "Yes we are," Sarah corrected from behind his fingers. "And we—"

"First need to find our other companion," Geto stepped in again before they could finish. He could see where this was headed and didn't like it. "We won't burden you with our problems. We'll only rest for tonight and then we'll take Boe with us and—"
