KAMP

Prologue

Andøya Rocket Range, Norway, 960 kilometers from Trondheim. November 29 - 14.46 P.M

A dark man in a suit walks quickly through a crowded corridor, knowing where he's headed. He wears a blue tie and on the right side of his suit is a Norwegian flag pin. It's the head of department at the rocket range who usually works from home but as the alarm had been set off by one of his employees about two hours ago he'd decided to come into the office. He opens the double doors to the big office and walks in, staying at the top of the stairs on the catwalk above the computer center.
"Sammy!" he calls out when he sees the general standing in the middle of the room. The green-clad man in a hat turns around and looks up at his chief.
"Hva skjer?" the chief asks, straightening his black suit at his wrists.
"Dahl! Eg tror du må titte på dette. En satellitt har plukket opp noe" the general, Sammy Jr Johansen says and Dahl raises his eyes to the big screen covering one entire wall in front of him. Sammy turns to the man at the desk beside him and tells him something, pointing at the screen. The man nervously presses a few buttons and suddenly the screen is showing what the satellite picked up. Dahl squints his eyes as he scans the unfamiliar dot on the screen as he's slowly piecing together what it is.
"Ser du hva jeg ser, Dahl?" Sammy asks, facing the screen. Dahl leans forward, resting his elbows on the railing in front of him and pressing his lips together.
"Vet vi hvor stort det er?" he asks, observing it.
"Ikke ennå. Vi må snakke med observatoriet. "De har bedre oversikt med slike ting" Sammy says before he turns around to face Dahl again. "Det vi vet er at det er farlig og nåt må gjøres"

Dahl nods slowly before he looks back down at the general.
"Ideer?" Dahl asks.
"Jeg sier vi skyter den ned." Sammy responds and Dahl chuckles, recognising his friend's usual solution to most problems. He straightens up again.
"Eg ringer til observatoriet. Før vi vet hvor stort det er kan vi ikke skyte noe" he says and picks his phone out of his pocket. Dahl heads further down the catwalk above the computer center until he reaches a door. He walks in and closes it behind him.

Dahl is standing in his own office placed just above the computer center with a view over it through the big window in the wall. He presses a button beside the door which tones the windows dark so the working class can't see in and then he dials the boss at the observatory.
"Hei på deg, Nielesen. Dette er Dahl fra Andøya Space. Det er så at vi har en litt krisesituasjon..."
