BAEKYEON ONE SHOTS

The Field

"Baekhyun!" Taeyeon called her childhood friend who was playing football with his friends. He looked at her and waved his hand to her. She smiled and sit on the bleachers with a box of cake on her hands. She waited for him to finish playing.

She was cheering for him every time he got the ball. For Taeyeon, he looks so cool when he was full of sweat and muscles swollen. She likes athletic guy and Baekhyun just somehow fit it. After waiting for him for almost 45 minutes, they finally finished and Baekhyun walks toward her.

"Hey, baby," He cooed at her with a cheeky smile on his face. Taeyeon smiled and helped him wipes his sweat. It was an usual thing for them to call each other such endearment like that.

"Hello, my baby boy," Taeyeon replied. He sit beside her and let her wipes his sweat. "You're getting better each time! I think you're going to be the best football player ever!" She said to him and he was smiling big.

"Of course! Football is in my blood," he said and she was chuckling.

"Oh right!" She put the towel on his neck and turned around. "Happy Birthday!" She said as she give him the cake she made earlier.

"But my birthday is two days ago. You're late," he said pouting and acting like he's mad. Taeyeon play along with his act.

"I'm sorry but I'm out of town at your birthday. You know it," She said as she pouted her pink lips at him. Baekhyun almost fall for her aegyo but trying to hold it in.

"What kind of best friend you are? You should've Skype me or send me a video," Baekhyun said. Taeyeon put down the cake beside her and stand in front of him, cupping his cheeks and make him look up at her face.

"I'm sorry. Forgive me please? Baby Byun?" She said with a pout and Baekhyun chuckled at her cuteness. He pinched her cheeks.

"Aigoo. You're lucky that I love you. Alright I forgive you," Baekhyun said and Taeyeon smiled in happiness. She sat back beside him and give him the cake.

"Woah, you made this? It looks like you buy it at a cake store," he teased her and she slapped his forearm lightly.

"I really made it by myself!"

"Haha, I know I know! It was meant to be a compliment!" He said and started to take a bite on the cake. His eyes widen as the cake melted in his mouth. "This tastes like heaven," he said as he munched the cake. Taeyeon smiled and watching him enjoying the cake. It made her happy to see him like that.

Taeyeon notice that there's some chocolate dripping down to his clothes. "Aigoo, are you five? Eat slowly," she said as she wipes his clothes with a wet tissue. He just grinned at her.

After he finished his cake, they sat there on the bleacher, enjoying the sunlight and the wind that was blowing softly.

"Yah, I can't believe that you're going to be in the national team. Playing football in the real field," Taeyeon said as she stared at the sky. Baekhyun look at her and smiled at her side profile. He always thinks that his best friend is the most beautiful girl he ever met. He looked up at the sky.

"Yeah, I can't believe it either. One second I'm just a high school student who registered in football school, and the next second I will be playing at the real field. Time flies so fast, huh?" He said and Taeyeon nodded.

"I'm going to miss you," She said as she looked to her side. At the man she was cherished for her whole life.

Baekhyun looked at her in the eyes. "Me too. I'll miss you, taengoo," He said as he held her hand in his tightly. Taeyeon gripped on his hand.

"I wished I could reach my dream just like you. Being a singer and perform at Madison Square Garden or Tokyo Dome. It would be amazing," She said as she looked at their hands and into his eyes. He smiled.

"I know you will. You're going to make it," He said and it made Taeyeon smile in content. He looked up at the sky and smiled.
"You know what? There is another dream I want to accomplish," He said, making her confused.

"What is it?" She asked.

"I want to play on this one precious field. But I am afraid," He said and Taeyeon tilted her head to the side.

"Why?"

"Because there is always a group of guys blocking my entrance. I want to get through but i'm afraid I would fail," Baekhyun said and Taeyeon chuckled. He looked at his side and saw her smiling beautifully.

"Since when did you became a coward? You used to send 5 kids to hospitals with your hapkido skill just because they were bullying me! Just talk to them, I'm sure they'll let you in," She said and Baekhyun just let out a weak smile.

"You don't understand. You don't even know where it is," he said.

"Then tell me. Where is that field? I'll help you talk with those guys with the help of my charms," Taeyeon said, placing a check sign with her hands on her chin. Baekhyun leaned in to Taeyeon and motioned her to get close. He whispered to her ear.

"It's in your heart," He said and Taeyeon was frozen. She couldn't believe what she just heard. She looked at him and his face is dangerously close to her. She could feel his breath on the tip of her nose.

Baekhyun closed his eyes and leaned in closer to Taeyeon until their lips brushed. He opened his eyes and saw her eyes were closed. He smiled.

"Taeyeon," He called her without pulling back or moving an inch. She opened her eyes and saw his dark brown orbs staring at her so deeply. "Would you let me get in to your field?" He asked and Taeyeon smiled. She took the initiative and pushed her lips on his. She closed her eyes and before Baekhyun could respond to the kiss, she pulled away.

"You are already and always in there."
