Vol 1 - Chapter 7: The Phoenix

Hindi nya alam kung bakit nya itong gusto hawak, and surprisingly, the phoenix didn't even flinch or ravish them. Just a moment ago, itong ibon na 'to ay hinahabol sila, halatang gusto silang sunugin ng buhay.

Pero ngayon, as Summer slowly reached out to touch its forehead, it didn't show any hostility. There was a flicker of recognition for both of them, like pakiramdam ni Summer ay nakita na nya noon ang ibong ito.

"Fenghuang..." Summer uttered, and the Phoenix slowly calmed down. Nakita 'to ni Summer, and she can't help but sigh in relief. "Fenghuang, we have to go... My friend was injured."

Although Yinxi is not heavy, Summer definitely felt exhausted dahil sa lamig at pagod.

When she reached the doorknob ay natumba pa sya nung pumasok sya, buti na lang, she held Yinxi's head to avoid any accidents. Napansin naman ni Summer ang pale complexion ni Yinxi.

"Shit, pano ako pupunta ng ospital kung yung pinto ko ay pinupunta ako sa ibang lugar?" Agad nyang sinarado ang pinto at agad na napaupo. She tried to process everything that happened including what the Phoenix told her.

Pero nawala ang mga iniisip ni Summer nung napansin nyang tulog parin si Yinxi. Kaya agad nya itong tinapik ng marahan sa pisngi neto, "Miss Zhao, wake up. Wake up, please." Patuloy na tinapik ni Summer ang pisngi neto, pero wala paring response galing kay Yinxi.

"Shit, ano gagawin ko?" Summer panicked, nilagay nya ang taenga sa dibdib ni Yinxi to check if humihinga pa ba ito. Fortunately, tumitibok pa ang puso ni Yinxi. Pero masyado itong mahina. "Think think think... Tangina Summer, mag-isip ka ng maayos...!" Hindi na alam ni Summer ang gagawin nya, she went to the kitchen, to her bedroom upstairs, kahit saan.

Till Summer notice na tahimik na ang labas ng pinto nya, she slowly approached the front door, dahang-dahang binuksan ito. She peak outside, at nakita nya na bumalik na ito sa dati, hindi na isang lugar na puro niyebe at may isang ibong na nasusunog at gusto silang patayin.

Summer swung the door open, agad nyang binuhat si Yinxi papalabas at tumakbo sa hallway. Her neighbors showed confused faces, hindi nila alam ano ba nangyari but good thing na they didn't bother to ask, siguro dahil rin sa tumatakbo si Summer habang bitbit si Yinxi.

Heavenly Palace

"My Lord, I have seen the Phoenix of destruction in the frozen mountains." The masked servant reported, with a respecting bow towards the man in front of him. "What happened? How did that phoenix even escape?"

"I saw lady Zhao... And saw someone who looked exactly like master Tiezun."

The man was furious that he shattered his gaiwan in one swing of his bare hand. "It cannot be, find that person and bring her to me... I need her alive, and also, get Yinxi back... I'll teach her a lesson myself."

The masked servant bowed and left. It turns out this person is no other than Guan Jingxiao himself.

Jingxiao was He Tiezun's disciple who had ascended to the heavens and became a powerful martial God after passing the heaven tribulation and gaining much more influence. Probably, he knew something, he always does.

"He Tiezun...! If you came back just to take Yinxi away from me, you're wrong... If I need to kill you again and again, then I must do it."
