With a newfound respect for the lion, Burly gave a confident nod.
Sgt. Burly: You heard him, soldiers! Move out!
Sergeant Slug: To the boat!
While the others made their getaway, Lie-in distracted the giant cannon. As much as he tried to avoid it, the cannon's energy laser was catching up to him fast. Just as he thought he was going to run out of steam-
???: Lie-in!!
He looked to the sky to see Cue-Tee and Y/N in a biplane. And what's more, Cue-Tee was calling his name.
Lie-in: Cue-Tee!
Although Lie-in was happy to see his friends, he quickly remembered to duck out of the way of the cannon's laser.
Y/N: That cannon's got him pinned down.
Cue-Tee: We'll fix that. You see that red button?
Y/N: I've been staring at it this whole time.
Cue-Tee: Press it.
He does so before turrets pop out of the underside of the wings of the plane.
Y/N: Whoa!
Cue-Tee: I'm gonna need you to aim them while I fly this thing.
Y/N: Can do!
Without hesitation, Y/N aimed the turrets towards the cannon. Even though the turrets nailed most of the shots on the zombies' cannon, it didn't leave a mark. The zombie commander looked at the plane flying by before ordering the cannon to aim at it.
Y/N: Now that crazy cannon is aimed at us!
The cannon quickly charged up before blasting a laser that pierced the sky, nearly skinning the plane.
Lie-in: Hey! Those are my friends! Now, I'm not pulling any punches!
Reaching into his pocket, he pulls out a golden-brown S-Dumpling before stuffing it in his mouth. As soon as he ate it, he was overcome with unimaginable strength. He ran up to the cannon before moving his fingers on the underside and lifting it. Lie-in flipped the giant cannon over on its side, making it effectively vulnerable.
Cue-Tee: Let 'em have it, Y/N!
Y/N: You're the boss!
Y/N once again fired the turrets, but this time onto the cannon's side, where it was most vulnerable. Eventually, the shots became effective enough to break open the cannon's armor and leave it smoking.
Lie-in: It's going to blow!
Cue-Tee: Y/N, get the ladder!
Lie-in: Ladder away!
Knocking down the ladder, Cue-Tee steered the plane in the other direction as Lie-in jumped and clamped on. In the distance of the ocean, the army men could see a giant explosion coming from the beach and assumed the worst for their brother in arms. Suddenly, they looked up to see him swinging from a ladder of the biplane, giving a salute, and in respect, they saluted back.

Afterwards, in the airfield, the Y/N, Armsman, and Imagenius welcomed Lie-in back with great big smiles.
Imagenius: It is quite fortuitous you survived, Mr. Lie-in. Soldiers in the last war had a 1 in 4 chance of dying.
Lie-in: Thanks... By the way, where did Cue-Tee skip off to?
Y/N: She said she was gonna squeeze into something more fitting now that she doesn't have to hide behind her cue cards anymore.
Lie-in: Fitting?
???: You know it, Fluffy.
Turning their heads, the boys spotted a changed Cue-Tee. She was now wearing a pink flowing dress, striped stockings, and a crown on her head.
???: How do you do, boys?
Armsman: ?!
???: Of course, I'm still Cue-Tee. But now, I think I'll go by Demandi.

Picky Princess Yo-kai Demandi
Demandi: Fitting, dont'cha think?
Y/N: Very. Ima, Arms, let's give 'em some space.
Imagenius: Very well.
As Y/N leads the other two Yo-kai away from the hangar, he gives a thumbs up to Demandi, who returns it.
Demandi: Lie...I want to thank you.
Lie-in: Thank me? For what?
Demandi: For giving me strength. I could have never dreamed I could go through all that, but I did. And I did it all for you.
Lie-in: [Slight blush] For me, huh?
Demandi: And thanks to you.
She takes out her cue cards before letting them go and watching as the wind blows them away, hoping that they'll be of use to someone else.
Demandi: I got over my speech problem. Now you're going to hear everything I've got to say.
Lie-in: ...I promise to hang onto every word.
Demandi: Thank yew~
And so the two stare up to the star-filled sky, knowing that their day full of relentless war, daring rescues, and extreme anxiety was over. Not only is it a new beginning for Demandi, but it's a new beginning for romance in this world of Yo-kai.
First Date _______________________________________________________________________
Lie-in and Demandi sat in a restaurant on a date after the whole debacle. While Lie-in was fidgeting, Demandi only slurped her extra-large soda.
Lie-in: [Flustered] So, uh, Demandi, I know it's a new beginning for us, but I think we should just take it slow. Y'know, we move too fast, we might ruin the lives of those around us and ourselves, like they do in romantic comedies. I dunno, what do you think?
