In this world, beings called Yo-kai exist, causing all sorts of problems for humans. Yo-kai are invisible to the human eye, so to see them, you'd have to use a legendary forbidden tool hidden in the human world. But just what is this tool, and what...

Y/N's Yo-kai friends: 63
Just another day in Springdale for our friend, Y/N, who was heading home after school singing his usual going home song.
Y/N: Home time! Home time!
When he reached his house, Y/N swung open the front door and there were his Yo-kai friends, Lie-in and Tyrat.
Y/N: Hey, guys. How's it- Gah!
He soon spotted a familiar-looking insect Yo-kai buzzing around.
Y/N: It's Enefly! Don't worry, I'll swat 'im!
Y/N dove out of the way of the insect before grabbing a fly swatter and trying to swipe at it as it franticly fluttered about.
Lie-in: Wait, Y/N, it's not Enefly!
Y/N: Huh?
But before Y/N could halt himself, he swatted the butterfly-like Yo-kai.
Lie-in: That's Enerfly, the exact opposite of Enefly.

Friendly Butterfly Yo-kai Enerfly
Y/N: Oh... Sorry, about that, fly-boy.
He grabbed one of Enerfly's wings before peeling the Yo-kai off the fly swatter. He then marched to the dining table and sat down.
Y/N: So what's up?
Tyrat: Bug brain here's got info on the Classic Yo-kai, Gnomey.
Y/N: Gnomey? Never heard of him.
Lie-in: And for good reason. Gnomey's smaller than Tyrat.
Tyrat: (Smile) Oh, someone to push around.
Lie-in: He's only a few centimeters tall and hides in houses to give them a homely feeling.
Y/N: Okay...so where is he?
Lie-in: We don't know.
Y/N: You...don't know?
Tyrat: The fluttering floozy only told us that Gnomey's in the neighborhood but doesn't know where he's keeping.
Y/N: So then how do we find him?
Lie-in: It's simple, really. Enerfly's antennae are built-in fortune sensors. Left is good, right is bad. If Gnomey's gone Wicked they'll point him out.
