As the heavy, dark clouds passed above the city of Springdale, a lone boy could be seen in plain sight, leaning against a wall. That boy was Y/N L/N, who, if he played his cards right, would be the savior of Springdale without anyone but the Yo-kai knowing. Y/N looked to his sides before pulling out his phone and dialing a number.
Mrs. L/N: Heya, sport, what's shaking?
Y/N: (Internal sigh) Hey, Mom. I just, y'know, wanted to call and let you know how much I love you.
Mrs. L/N: Aw, thanks, son... Now, what trouble are ya in?
Y/N: N-No trouble, at all, mom. I just feel I don't say it enough. Is Dad there?
Mrs. L/N: Sure is. I'll go get him. Yo, hubby!
(Shuffling noises in the background)
Mr. L/N: Hi, Y/N.
Y/N: Hey Dad, just wanted to let you know I love you.
Mr. L/N: ...What kind of trouble are you in?
Y/N: Again, none. I just wanted to tell you. But if I do get into trouble, I know who to call.
Mr. L/N: Well, if that's good. Just don't do anything you'll regret.
Y/N: (Believe me, I'm making sure of that.) Bye, Dad.
Mr. L/N: Bye, son.
Mrs. L/N: (Shouting in the background) Later, kid!
Y/N: (Chuckles) Bye, mom.
The call ended, and Y/N began dialing another number.
???: Hello?
Y/N: Hello, Mrs. Adams.
Mrs. Adams: Oh, hi, Y/N. You want me to get Nathan for you?
Y/N: I'd appreciate it, yeah.
(Shuffling noises in the background)
Nate: Y/N?
Y/N: Yo.
Nate: So what's up?
Y/N: I wanted to tell you thanks.
Nate: Um, for what?
Y/N: For being my friend. I know we always say that you're average, but you're also a loyal friend. I'm glad just knowing you, bud.
Nate: Oh, gee, thanks.
Y/N: Gotta go now, see ya.
Nate: Bye, see you at school.
Y/N hangs up before sighing.
Y/N: Just a few more...
He dialed another number and waited as it rang. Soon, the other line picked up.
???: You've reached the Archer Residence.
Y/N: Mr. Archer, what are you doing home this early?
Mr. Archer: My job wrapped up rather quickly. So, what can I do for you?
Y/N: Is Eddie there?
Mr. Archer: Sure, he's up in his room with Bear.
Y/N: (Nice. A two-for-one.)
(Noises in the background)
Eddie: Hey, Y/N.
Bear: What's happening?
Y/N: Archman, Barnaby. What's going on?
Bear: I found this old video game of my dad's, but I didn't have the system to play it.
