School. It was alright, just the fact that this school holds SO much power scared you. But people were nice, you joined the drama club, you liked acting. Actually, there was gonna be a play and you were the star! Downside is that it was a cliché, kiss the prince, blah blah. You were in charge of creating your dress among other costumes.

But now you needed to focus on your Japanese.

After school, you walk to the student council room, you were hoping to find Minamoto. He's the best at English in the class so might as well ask him to help you. You didn't talk to him a lot throughout the day, it'd be like small conversations. Everytime a girl would get close to him, others would surround him and it gets annoying sometimes.

Whatever. He's literally popular.

You stand outside the door and knock twice. You wait a little, you didn't want to be rude. You opened the door and saw Minamoto and some redhead. Guess he was the vice-president. Seemed like they were doing paperwork or something.

"Sorry for bothering you, Minamoto. I was wondering if you can do me a tiny favor." You smile warmly.

"Sure."

You felt kinda awkward with the red-head there but you walked to Minamoto.

"I was wondering if you'd be able to help me out with my writing-"

"No problem! I can even help you right now." Minamoto cut you off.

You blink, even the boy beside was confused. You take out your notebook and turn the pages, Minamoto looks at your pages. You were looking at him, wondering if he was secretly laughing on the inside at how bad you were at writing. The longer he looked at it, the more nervous you got. The red-head already left the room so you sat down next him.

You break the silence. "Bad?" You turn your head to see his face.

"Not bad, but you need to work on your strokes."

You look at your notes. "Hm. Guess I do." The sun was starting to set.

"Kiyama."

"Yeah?"

"You settling in okay?"

"Yeah. Everyone's nice. Uniform is cute. Can't complain."

"Good, wouldn't want you to leave again." Minamoto jokes, he puts his hand to his mouth as he starts to laugh.

"Think I'm staying here for a while." You sigh and rest your head on the table. "You do this everyday?"

"You get used to it."

"Must be hell to be in the student council." You lift you head up slightly to look at him. "Hey, you should come to my performance."

"I didn't know you were into that."

"It's my entire life. I even made my dress, almost done."

"Usually I'm not into performances, but I'll go."

You smile at him and look at the window, getting darker. Time to go home, I doubt Grandpa told Chiyo to do her homework.

"I'm heading home." You say as you stand up, putting your stuff away.

"Let me walk you." The boy also stands up. "A girl shouldn't walk home alone."

"Really, it-"

"No. I insist." Minamoto puts his sword case thing on his back.

You walk out the door, Minamoto behind you. You guys walk through the halls, school was almost empty. You change your shoes and now you guys are outside. You guys caught up with each other and now you guys were outside your house.

You said your goodbyes and headed on inside, not knowing there was a tiny pair of eyes looking at you.

"Big sister, you have a boyfriend!" Chiyo points at you while you were closing the door behind you.

"Chiyo, did you do your homework?" You ignored her accusation and took off your shoes.

"Hey! Are you guys getting married?"

Your eyes widen. "He is not my boyfriend. We aren't getting married, okay?" You walk towards the sofa and sat on it.

Your little sister looks skeptical but nods. "Okay. Mommy hasn't gotten up, I wanted to play." She says, in a sad tone. It's getting worse.

"Hey, she'll be up soon. She'll play with you soon. But in the meantime, I'm here, okay?" You take off your sisters pigtails and brush her hair.

Your sister nods.

I'll do anything for you, Chiyo. Even if it means trading myself for your happiness. (Yes this is foreshadowing.)
