NICK

A warm feeling spreads from my chest until my body is electric. When we finally pull away I'm trying to remember how to breath. I have a halo of heat around me. I didn't want to stop and I take a small step back to restrain myself from tasting her lips again.

"Do you regret that?" I asked softly. Nessa pulls away and gives me one small smirk.

"No," She says. She looks down at my abs again, then up at my face and I don't want her to go yet. Nessa does a little sigh, "But I should."

Then she vanishes through the crowd. Nessa comes back a second later and startles me.

"Don't forget that," she says with a fleeting smile.

Holy shit I wanted more. I didn't know it was possible to go crazy over a girl but she left me feeling so type of way I had to lean against the wall for a second and couldn't help but smile look an idiot. I couldn't even tell anyone about it yet. We just bulldozed through the house pact.

I didn't fucking care. I'd do anything for her. I'd figure out how to be normal and amazing for her like she was to me.

Nessa Boulder had to be mine.

Nessa drives me, Jordan, Ashan and Lani and we're all buzzing. It's around one in the morning and we cruise down the suburban streets and clamor over each other trying to tell too many stories about the legendary beer pong showdown.

"But how?!" I yelled at Nessa.

"I don't know!" Nessa was trying not to die of laughter as she drove and I felt like I was still on a high, "We practiced!"

Lani clapped her hands together, "That's all we did freshmen year was play pong."

Jordan flies his arms out, "Bro we had a ping pong table in our fucking dining room and you're better than us."

Lani and Nessa look at each other, "Skill issue!!" They say at the same time. That makes everyone talk louder.

I was barely breathing everything was so funny. This entire night was so funny. Jordan was funny. Their voices clamored over each other and turned up in pitch and washed out until I couldn't hear anything. Just a defening ringing in my ears.

"I'll play you any time!" Nessa says to Jordan, who I think still believed he could win.

"Aight you wanna kiss me too then?" Jordan teases and Lani whacks Nessa's arm for her.

We pull into the driveway and we pile out of the car jabbering for noise. Lani and Jordan where deep in an argument about proper pong form. The girl with curls finds me and beams at me. She slips her hand behind my back and I wrap my arm around her shoulder.

"You good Taylor?"

"I'm great," I say taking in her pretty face, "You're great. Everything's great."

"Oh I'm great?"

I kiss her forehead, "Yeah you're great," I say. I absently brush my thumb against her chin.

"Good," she laughs and gives me a peck on the cheek. Then puts a hand on my chest, "You a little drunk?"

"Me?" My voice goes serious, "No. I can't drink. I'm concussed."

We make it inside the house and the guys turn to go up the stairs. I see the stairs and everything becomes liquified and wobbles around. I start up the stairs. Maybe I shouldn't have shotgunned two beers. I should sleep whatever this was off.
