ACT 1 SCENE 3
Cut to a close up shot of a door. *knock knock knock* It opens, revealing a postman stood at the door holding a clipboard and pen.
POSTMAN: Hello, umm.. sixty two West Wallaby Street? Got a big delivery for you...
Cut to a POV shot from the post man's perspective looking into the house. He looks side to side, not seeing who opened the door, then moves the clipboard away and looks down revealing Gromit into the frame.
POSTMAN: Ah, whose a good boy, Got a big parcel for you! Is it alright if I bring it over for you now?
Gromit nods
POSTMAN: Right, perfect!
He goes back to his van and brings out a large box. Struggling, he walks it up the path and pops it down just outside the front door. Red in the face, he checks off his clipboard.
POSTMAN: Right, that's me done for here, thanks little buddy!
He says as he pets Gromit on the head and walks back to his van. Cut to an interior shot of the car of him getting into the drivers seat.
POSTMAN: Okay then, next delivery is... the museum. Huh, they've got a big delivery as well.
Cut back to Gromit as he stands up and knocks on the large box to try and figure out what's inside. Then he sniffs it.
WALLACE: Ah, me parcel has arrived!
Wallace approaches, holding a set of wheels that originally came from a skateboard, lifts the parcel up and fixes the wheels to the bottom.
WALLACE: Thanks for getting the door lad!
Wallace pushes the big box on wheels out of the way of the door and over to the garage. Gromit follows.
WALLACE: I think this would be a great time for me to show you my latest creative project, hmm?
Gromit looks over at Wallace. They stop outside the closed garage door.
WALLACE: Now, I know you've been wanting to go out a lot more and see more of the neighbourhood and lots more areas. Just really go and soak up the world.
Gromit nods enthusiastically.
WALLACE: well, I know how good you are behind a wheel, so...
Wallace presses a button and the automatic garage door opens slowly
WALLACE: I thought you might want to turn that adventurous motoring passion into something that could help us earn some income hey lad.
The garage door slowly lifts to reveal a brand new licence plate on a freshly painted car. The licence plate reads "Cabbie 1". Headlights flick on and a bright taxi sign on the roof illuminates in bright yellow. Rays of sunshine streak across the car, revealing the words "Gromit & Go". Gromit looks on in awe of the newly built taxi sitting in their garage.
WALLACE: Ta da! Your very own taxi service! Not too shabby is it pal? I've got it all oiled up and running, just need to add the finishing touches, that's what this parcel is for!
Wallace opens up the box and dumps out a bunch of parts onto a workbench positioned in the corner of the garage. He picks up a select few along with a spanner. He lays himself down on a skateboard and tries pushing himself under the car to work on the underside, but it just scrapes on the floor.
WALLACE: Ah yes, forgot I took those.
He stands up, takes the wheels off the bottom of the parcel, fixes them to the skateboard and slides back under the car. A couple creative sounds later, he slides out from under the car, now holding just the spanner.
