"Rose." A shake.
"Rose." Another shake.
"God damn it Rose! Wake up!"
My eyes snap open to a dimly lit room. I squint my eyes catching a figure above me. His grey eyes looking down me in panic. "Rose get up."
I push him away from me. "What is it Raymond?" I ask tiredly glancing at the clock, I read three in the morning. What kind of idiot wakes me at this time?
"Rogues."
I sit upright, that got all my attention. "What happened?" I asked, making sure no emotion showed in my face, something I'd learnt to do long ago.
"They entered the boarder, we countered and killed all but one. He's a prisoner. We figured you'd want to talk to him." Raymond replies seriously. Which is a rare sight to see.
I stand up. "Get out."
"What?" He asked surprised by my sudden command.
I turn to him, he's wearing a very confused look and I hold back a laugh. This isn't the time to be laughing. Although I do face palm myself. Which makes him even more confused.
"Sometimes I wonder if you're all idiots, or I'm the idiot." I mumble under my breath. I know he caught it but he didn't reply.
I point to the door. "Get out of my room."
Realization crosses his face, he nods and walks to the door "I'll be waiting just outside."
I nod. "You do that."
I know it's a little harsh, but Ray did barge in my room and wake me up at three in the morning. Two things that don't make this a good start to a day. On top if that, rogues. I'm bound to be in a bad mood.
When the door closes behind him I jump out of bed and rush into my closet taking out a pair of black short shorts and blue tank top before quickly changing into the clothes.
I'll take a shower when I get back, I need to take care of this rogue.
I look at myself in the mirror to see my hair all over my face. I grumble before taking my brush and running it through my short hair. It barely reached my shoulders, and the tips of my black hair is dyed a dark purple which I love very much.
When no more hairs are sticking up I put the brush down and make my way to the door. I glance around making sure I did everything I should before exiting my room.
"This way Rose." Raymond starts leading the way through the hall.
I walk in front of him and glare him warning saying not to press my buttons. "I know my way around my own house Ray." I make sure there's a slight playful growl to my words so he won't do it again but also knows I'm not really mad.
He answers with a sheepish smile and a fake bow of his head. "Sorry Alpha." He puts an emphasis on my title.
I roll my eyes and fall in a step beside him my irritation draining and alpha mood kicking in. "Is Derek already there?"
He nods. "Yup, the guards were hesitant at first." Raymond spares me a glance, I see the twinkle in his eyes and I groan out loud.
"He pulled the beta card didn't he?"
"Yup." Ray says popping the 'p'.
I resist to urge to face palm again but I end up rolling my eyes instead. I did advance him into the beta position, but he's been abusing the title. Well, using it to his advantage is a better way to say that.
