Everyone darted across the street before ducking into the building. It was a lobby, there was no one in it so you assumed everyone went home for the night.

"Over there," Patrick pointed towards an elevator.

Everyone filed inside before you pressed the R button, "Going up?"

After around a minute of cheesy elevator music, you were at the top. As the doors opened it, you saw boxes all around. The top floor must've only been used for storage.

"Alright, look for some stairs," Joe directed, stepping onto the dusty floor.

You searched around for a few minutes before you heard Pete call out, "Over here!"

When you arrived at his location there was a small staircase and then a door leading up.

Pete walked up to the door and looked at the rest of you for confirmation. You smiled and nodded at him, encouraging him to continue.

He opened and walked through the door. Andy, Joe, Patrick, then you filed behind him.

At first you saw a flat roof with pretty much nothing on it (besides a singular crate) overlooking a small cityscape. Then, you looked up...

The sky was beautiful, in a word. It was an inky black, millions upon millions of lights attempting to pierce through the darkness. Shining as brightly as they could. You walked past the guys, never taking your eyes off the  stars. You sat yourself down on the crate a few feet from the edge of the roof.

A breeze blew by and you shivered. It was colder now that you were higher up. You rubbed both your arms to try and warm them up.

Suddenly, a slightly oversized jean jacket became rested upon your shoulders. A warm body sat close to you, Patrick.

You looked over at him and smiled, "Thanks," You mouthed at him.

You turned back to look at the sky before you felt a strong arm wrap tightly around you. It rubbed your shoulder comfortingly and pulled you closer.

Patrick's POV

Before I could do anything else, she nestled her head into my shoulder. I smiled a little, my face was probably getting red too. Even though since the dance we shared I'd definitely become more confident around her. I took a look at her face before I rested my head on hers. God, she was so beautiful. While she stared at the stars I had my eyes set on the most beautiful thing in the city. Her eyes twinkled with the reflection of the moon, I could probably get lost in them for hours. The way she smiled, it was like the whole world lit up if she laughed at a joke. When she looked right into my eyes, it was like fireworks going off. When Pete first introduced us, how I felt around her was like nothing I'd ever felt before.

The moment could've lasted forever, if I didn't decide to look down at my watch, "Oh shit!"

I jumped up, "The roadblock is supposed to be cleared now, we gotta run for it or we'll get stranded here!"

Panic overcame the rooftop, everyone bolted for the stairs and ran for the elevator.

~~~~~~
After weaving through traffic trying to find the bus, a bunch of cars started to move in front of us.
I spotted it in the next lane over, "Over there!"
(Y/N) sprinted there first and rapped her fists against the bus doors.
They opened and we all sprinted in, I sat on the love seat next to (Y/N) while the rest of the guys found a seat too.
We were all panting and wheezing, "That was an insane evening," Pete rang out.
"Yeah, I'll say," Andy laughed.
"I can't believe when those thugs almost had (Y/N)."
"Yeah, and it was such a cool idea to go up to the roof."
As they all chatted away about our adventure, I felt something slump against my shoulder. (Y/N) had fallen asleep right there. I guess all that running really tired her out.
"Guys," I whispered.
Everyone stopped talking and took a look at us.
"Oh, dude, do you want any help putting her to-" Pete started.
I shook my head, "Nah, I think I got it."
I wrapped an arm around her back and under her knees to take her to bed. As I was about to carry her 'bridal-style' through the curtain I heard a voice behind me.
"You did good, tonight," Pete said.
I turned around and gave him a smile and a nod before going into the sleeping area. I set her down in our bunk and pulled off her shoes and socks. She made a little moaning noise and settled into the bed.
"Goodnight, beautiful," I whispered before slinking under the covers.
(A/N: Wow! Long chapter! Yeah... Also sorry for such a long wait between last chapter and this one, it was because I knew what I was going to do for the first four chapters but now I'm just trying to think of stories in the middle. Anywho, thanks for reading!)
