shadow Genesis ACT-9 part 2: arise from the void

Vessel of oblivion

A figure with fox ears looms on a roof top nearby wearing red hakama pants and a black traditional kimono, with her blade poised downward at the scene in front of her. To her this is normal, the her surroundings are completely different to the last time she was alive.

Without a word she gracefully lands onto the ground without a sound, her eyes immediately lock onto Vivian. As she flashes towards her with blinding speed her katana effortlessly glides through Vivian's neck with pinpoint accuracy, this catches us off guard as we see the whole scene unfold.

The first thing I come to notice is this figures black hair with a maroon fade, void flame channeled into her blade, a red scarf embraces her neck along with a sort of torn cape.

More importantly I notice two long fox ears within her hair along with a dark fox tail which catches us off guard but aertiryiax.

The flame on her blade glows a red which is shrouded in shadow, is this the same void flame? I asked myself.

Aertiryiax lets out a subtle chuckle, a hint of realisation in his eyes as he sees this fox human worrier hehead Vivian.

As Vivian's head falls towards the ground her body quickly disintegrates into a red aura which fades into the air.

As this woman looks back at aertiryiax, he nods at her. "Kazumiya, I knew you'd come" aertiryiax says out loud.

However instead of unsheathing her katana her focus is immediately drawn towards me.

In that moment she flashes towards me, her blade poised towards me, to either attack, or to test me.

As her blade is aimed towards my head I duck under her strike, the speed from her strike causing a small wave of wind to force me back.

While evading her strike I notice a prosthetic wooden arm replacing her right arm, built like her skeletal arm.

As I step behind her she is immediately drawn towards me into a stance. Within mere moments she performs a series of strikes, our blades clashing against each other.

Her leg is immediately raised to get me to falter, the force of her kick causes me to stumble back.

As I run away she immediately gives chance. What's with her, she helped us now she wants to kill me.

As she catches up to me her blade is aimed towards my head, I immediately manage to evade her strike by ducking under and I follow up by swinging the fractal blade towards her side.

In a flash she manages to block this strike.

"I knew it, he's willing to kill me, I must make way for his execution" Kazumiya asked herself.

In that moment she launches a kick into my stomach which knocks the wind out of me.

As I look up at her, her blade is already poised to strike and in that moment I witness my life flash before my eyes.

However aertiryiax moves in to break her strike, the impact causing a small ripple.

"Aertiryiax, why must you protect him, he holds a fragment of her, I wake up after all these years in slumber and you. I can't forgive you" Kazumiya's voice trails off, her disdain for the graceless mother is made clear it seems.

"Thee may be right, he doth harbour a piece of her, but like thee. He might be able to sever her from this realm" aertiryiax explained.

Kazumiya seems to hesitate, unable to accept aertiryiax's reply.

"You're lucky, unlike the others I somewhat respect you, but it seems you've gone senile" she finally replies, she sheathes back her blade with subtle trust.
