Aertiryiax's face contorts with fear as he hears a cacophony of voices that are full of malice.

"Thy courage is commendable, but thou will soon witness true horror" the malicious voice said mockingly.

Blood spurts from his nose as he covers his mouth with a dreadful expression.

"Tis not the time, her influence has worsen, how I curse thee" Aertiryiax replied with a shaken voice.

Noticing Aertiryiax's condition, Karuta jumps off the roof next to him, as she lands she catches herself by putting her hands in front of her.

Suddenly a dark aura erupts around him which pins karuta to the ground to the ground by an unseen force.

"Why couldn't thou save me" a voice said, the voice ringing through Aertiryiax's mind.

"What's going on, aertiryiax" Karuta's cry is full of concern.

After a short moment, the aura emanating from Aertiryiax subsides which rises and fades into the air. A few short moments the anomalous floating building in the distance in the sky crashes down which kicks up dust and ash.

Seeing what just transpired first-hand, Karuta has a heavy sigh of relief. however, her legs shake like jelly as she witnesses the building crash into the ground, Oddly enough Aertiryiax isn't the slightest bit concerned.

Karuta is caught off guard as he slowly turns towards her with an expression full of concern.

"What's with that look" Karuta asked with a confused expression.

"We ought to take our leave" Aertiryiax replied while taking his gaze towards the direction where the building fell just moments ago.

"Hopefully there was no one inside that building" Karuta asked herself.

As Karuta follows Aertiryiax towards the edge she stops in her tracks to ask something "I need to know. What just happened" Karuta asked with a deeply concerned frown shining on her face.

A look of guilt washes over Aertiryiax as he turns his gaze to the roof they're both standing on. "The graceless mother, she is now capable of corrupting arteria. If her soul is corrupted then I shall suffer the graceless mother's influence as well" Aertiryiax explained.

Karuta takes a deep breath for a moment to process the implications of the graceless mother's influence and Aertiryiax's predicament.

"That means if arteria is corrupted, you'll suffer as well, which means the graceless mother will be able to reincarnate. Correct" Karuta replied.

Aertiryiax stays silent for a moment to think. "Tis a possibility, but I have faith, if I or my sister is corrupted I pray Kazumiya is strong enough to rid me from her influence, but this isn't the time for idle chat, perhaps we shall return in due time" Aertiryiax goes on with a slightly hopeful tone in his voice.

As Karuta walks towards the edge of the building, she looks down and spots a window on the wall below her.

Karuta turns around and calls for Aertiryiax's attention, as he jerks his head towards karuta she points down.

"There's a window under here" Karuta points out.

As Aertiryiax walks towards the edge he notices the window under them as well.
