The Anomalous hunt

At this moment aertiryiax dashes away so in a desperate moment we all follow after him, the rest of us barely manage to keep up with his speed. as we reach him, we watch in surprise as he flashes towards a void litch.

I notice yuzurai and minatori's surprised faces as he somehow twists the void litch's limbs without touching them just by looking at it.

As the void litch slumps on the ground it tries to get back up, it desperately tries to repair itself. before it could recover I dash in front of the void litch with my blade drawn out from its scabbard.

As I step forth I drive the fractal blade into it's head, the moment my blade hits its skull it creates an entry point, the bone shattering away as the fractal blade cuts through its voided inside, the moment the fractal blade cuts through its core a shockwave explodes outwards.

In an unexpected moment, the void litch freezes up for a few seconds. luckily, it later disintegrates into troubled whispers guided by the wind. Seeing it fall into the ground Yuzurai kneels down, karuta notices a visible dread in her expression.

"Where's takari" karuta asked with a concerned expression.

Yuzurai slowly looks up at karuta which causes her to stutter in surprise at yuzurai's horrified expression.

"It took her" she replied with a deadpan expression as she recounts what just happened.

"That void litch consumed her, she was fused into it" Yuzurai replied with a grim expression.

Hearing this straight from Yuzurai sends chills down my spine, "she merged with it?" Kenzo replies with a shocked expression.

"A void litch merging its prey onto itself isn't common knowledge but it does occur, it causes them to become stronger" aertiryiax explained.

"Anything else we should know" Kenzo asked with a serious expression.

Aertiryiax pauses for a second, this causes everyone else to listen to his response.

"It is said that the void litch's are the embodiment of the graceless mother, a byproduct of her influence, believe it or not the void litch's manifest in three different forms, based on cosmic events. These are the void litches, the blood litch, and the solar litch, and this is where the graceless mother comes in, unlike the void litches, the other void spirits are souls that have been corrupted by the graceless mother" aertiryiax explained.

Right on queue the air gets colder as aertiryiax revealed this.

"This graceless mother is responsible for the void spirits?" Yuzurai asked.

"There are more of them" karuta exclaimed with a surprised yet concerned expression.

As Yuzurai picks herself up her gaze is drawn towards aertiryiax with a serious expression. "If you know about these entities, then you have to help us, what's going on here. I need to know" she asked.

"I, like shura and yarijira share the same goal, but our methods for this realm differ, I'm now here to fix this realm, which means if the graceless mother descends down to this realm, an eternal damnation is Nigh, however I believe killing the graceless mother will lead to a world without malice" aertiryiax explained.

"How do we know this would work out, you say when she comes here she'll destroy everything" I replied with a serious expression.

Hearing me out, aertiryiax faces me with a blank expression which causes me to let out a slight gasp of surprise.

I notice his hesitant expression before he speaks up "I'm unsure if there is a way to summon the graceless mother, so the only way is to hope she descends to this realm" aertiryiax says with his head down.
