When the bell for lunch rang out you quickly made got up from your seat in the hopes you could get find somewhere quiet before gaining too much attention. The stairwell was off limits since Todoroki would follow you there so thinking quickly you made your way to the library instead.
Wh Once you get there, you ask the librarian to reserve you one of the private study rooms, meaning no one will disturb you for the remainder of the break period. Ignoring the librarians curious stares, you make your way to the empty room, which only contained a lone desk and chair placed against the back wall. But for you, the main draw was how the room was almost completely soundproof, so you could enjoy some peace and quiet.
You sit down and delve into your bag to grab your lunch, but upon opening it, are greeted by nothing but textbooks. Right... Todoroki always brought you lunch, a luxury you had gotten used to. Dang it. You were really hungry, so having to skip out on lunch really stung. You slump in the chair, ready to sulk in silence until the click of the door to the room steals your attention.
Yaoyorozu peeks her head through the door, the two of you making eye contact. She doesn't back down at the fiery glare you send her way and instead enters, giving you a polite smile as she enters the room, "Here." She says, pulling a bento box from her bag, "Todoroki said you wouldn't have brought your own lunch."
You hesitate for a moment but take the box from her hands, you hoped that meant there were no hard feelings between you and him, "You're a lousy stalker by the way." You mumble opening the box and beginning to eat as you were absolutely starving.
A noticeable red hue covers her face, was it actually that obvious she had been following you? "I'm so sorry, I-I just wanted to talk to you but you have a habit of being, um... elusive so I-er followed you." She admits, mentally facepalming at how creepy that sounded. The last time she saw you was before her fight against Tokoyami, she thought your behaviour was odd but chalked it up to the pressure of the competition but in hind site it was clear why you were acting that way. "I just thought since I already knew your secret it would be easier for you to talk to me maybe." Yaoyorozu hated how difficult talking to you was. All her composure along with her refined vocabulary went out the window nearly every time she tried talking to you.
"It's fine, I've had worse stalkers with worse intentions." You mumble which gets a laugh out of Yaoyorozu but she quickly stifles it after realising you were being dead serious. If the earth had opened up in that moment and swallowed her whole Yaoyorozu would have had no objections. "You can laugh at that... it was a joke." You mumble but your monotone delivery doesn't make her feel any better.
Tired of standing awkwardly in the middle of the room, Yaoyorozu sits on the edge of the desk and begins to eat her lunch also. Yaoyorozu notices how quickly you finish eating, which reminded her of when you ate dinner with her parents, you finished eating first then too. Were things really that bad at home? She wished you trusted her enough to take her there so she could see things your way.
She didn't take it to heart however, it's not like you truly trusted anyone to begin, not even Todoroki, but then again he could actually speak to you like a normal person. For Yaoyorozu any conversation with you was like trying to navigate a minefield. One wrong word could set you off so she had to be careful. "How was your break?" She asks, trying to strike up a casual conversation.
Your break was actually rather interesting given the friendly visit you received but it's not like you could tell her that so you decide to give her a much more boring answer, "Not much I just sat around my apartment the whole time." You mumble, placing the empty bento box on the desk.
"Thats good given how hard you fought, I imagine you needed the rest." She praises you, thinking back to your impressive fighting moves. "My parents and I went out to this amazing restaurant with thirteen different courses. It was some of the most beautiful food I've ever seen!" She says animatedly, it was like she could still taste the flavours dancing on her tongue.
