"Oh? Okay! Wait, let me bring an empty bottle," Aishi said, stood up to bring an empty water bottle from the kitchen. She walked out of the door with a smile left by earlier talks of Avni's memory, mind still heavy with all the information, Avni gave to her one after another without even taking a break to breathe.
She entered the kitchen and searched for an empty bottle for their another game. She searched on the maze and found an empty plastic bottle. She took it and carried it to the room, playing with it absentmindedly.
"Here is a bottle! Now we are ready for our grand finale of truth and dare!" She announced excitedly and threw the bottle towards Avni, "Catch!"
Avni, startled by the sudden action, somehow managed to catch the bottle with both of her hands. They both sat on the floor and Aishi spun the bottle.
The bottle spun furiously on the floor, clinking against the tiles as both girls held their breath, eyes fixed on its dizzying whirl. For a moment, it seemed to hesitate, wobbled uncertainly, and then came to a slow, deliberate halt-its narrow neck pointing straight at Avni.
"So... Truth? Or dare?" Aishi's lips curled up into a mischievous grin.
Avni's heart gave a little leap, though she tried to mask it with a shrug. The game had just turned in her direction.
Avni inhaled deeply and exhaled before speaking "Dare."
"I knew you would choose dare! You never like truths! I have already picked up a very exciting dare for you!" Aishi jumped on the bed, couldn't hide her excitement.
"Just wait a minute," Aishi said quickly and went out of the room, leaving Avni confused.
She went in her chachu and chachi's. She called her with smirk "Chachi. Chachi... Oo chachi..."
Shivani, who was sleeping, got up, rubbing her eyes. She glanced at the door sleepily. "Aishi?"
"Idhar aana do minute, please?" Aishi whispered softly and crooked her fingers in a beckoning motion. Shivani came to her, sleepily.
[Come here for a minute, please]
"Bol," Shivani yawned, her voice heavy with drowsiness as she stretched her arms lazily. Her half-lidded eyes flickered toward Aishi, waiting, almost daring her to say something worth keeping her awake.
"Apna phone dena do minute, please?" Aishi pleaded and joined her hands in front of her aunt.
[Can I borrow your phone for a minute, please?]
"Why?" Shivani narrowed her eyes.
"Bas do na. Abhi wapas kar dungi," Aishi urged softly and Shivani went inside her room. She picked up her phone and came back to Aishi.
[Just give it. I promise, I'll return it right now.]
"Only for five minutes," Shivani said with a warning look.
"Arre ye toh aapne bohot zyada hi de diye. Ruko. Abhi yahi khade khade de dungi," Aishi said and unlocked Shivani's phone. She opened the 'Phone' app and scrolled through the contacts.
"Kaunsa wala single hai..." She muttered under her breath so that Shivani couldn't hear. She stopped scrolling at a contact. 'Advait beta 🎀' was it's name.
[Who is single here...]
"Aapke paas Advait bhaiya ka number kaha se aaya?" Aishi asked curiously. "Aur ye ispe bow kyu laga rakha hai?"
"Ayaan ki family mein sabke number hain mere paas," Shivani winked at Aishi "Aur baat aayi bow ki... Toh mujhe Advait hamesha se matlab bachpan se hi pookie lagta hai."
