Chapter 3
Nova's POV.
I licked my chapped lips.
It's been 3 months since this apocalypse has started.
Sky has been getting a better shot with her gun and I'm getting better with the bow I found.
We walked up the hill.
We left the fourwheeler seeing more zombies.The zombies could follow us.
Then I realized,we didn't have a name for these things.
"So,what should we call these things,"I asked shooting one with my bow.
"Geeks?"she asked.
I nodded,"Ok.But not nerds I don't wanna be one of those."
"Don't joke about being one of those things!"she practically yelled at me.
I backed up a step,"Sorry."
She turned back around and started walking back up the hill.
We really needed to find Dad,Mom,and Penny.
Penny was younger than me.
She was 11.
Dad,Philip,was 39.
Mom,Amber,was 36.
"WOOHOO!"I heard someone yell.
"Who is that?"Sky asks.
"Does it look like I know?"I ask tilting my head.
I heard brakes screech to a halt.
I spin around to see a red car.
An Asian dude is in the drivers seat.
He gets out.
"Who are you?"I ask putting my bow up.
"I'm Glenn.Who are you?"he asked.
"I'm Nova.This is my older sister Sky,"I introduce.
He nods.
I shrug,"You look harmless enough."
I put my bow down.
"You can get in the car,"he says gesturing to the car.
"We'll take our vehicle,"I answer before Sky is about to say yes.
Seriously,she annoys the shit out if me when she's too nice to strangers.
He nodded.
The cars,yes cars there were more,followed us up the hill.
We arrived and Sky went in to get our stuff(and thangs).
She brought them out and put them in the car.
She was about to get on the fourwheeler behind me when I shook my head.
"Ride with Glenn."
I know most of you are like what you were just...Wha'.
But I have my reasons.She hits it off better with people.
Me...not so much.
I hopped on and put the key in the ignition.
I revved it up and put the helmet on.
I gave Glenn a thumbs up and he started the vehicle train.
I was behind a commercial truck for Kroger.
We all started driving up the hill.
I hoped these people we're as good as they seemed.
