Scene: Y/N had taken dozens of photos—laughing Gladers, garden sunsets, muddy adventures. But one morning, while sorting through prints in the map room, she froze.

It was a shot of Chuck and Minho near the Maze wall, both mid-laugh. But in the background, just beyond the vines, was a figure.

Not a Glader.

Not a Crank.

Something else.

Tall. Blurred. Watching.

Newt found her staring at the photo, face pale.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

Y/N handed him the print. "I didn't see it when I took it."

Newt studied the image. "That's not one of us."

Thomas joined them, eyes narrowing. "It's too close to the wall. Too still."

Minho grabbed the photo. "I was there. No one else was."

Y/N whispered, "Then what is it?"

That night, Newt found her in the garden, camera clutched to her chest.

"I didn't mean to find anything," she said. "I just wanted to remember the good."

Newt sat beside her. "You did. But maybe this photo is a warning."

She looked at him, eyes wide. "Do you think it's watching us?"

Newt didn't answer. He just wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close.

"We'll figure it out. Together."

Newt's Reaction (retelling the moment):

"Her photos were meant to capture joy. But one of them caught something else."

"A shadow. A watcher. A mystery we weren't ready for."

"But Y/N didn't run. She faced it. And I stayed beside her—because love means standing in the unknown together."
