Chapter 18

After dinner I follow Christina through the halls and to where the apartments are. She stops at one hers and unlocks it. We walk in. "Do you want anything Lizzie?" She asks me. "No I'm good thanks Chrissy" I reply. She nods. I let her call me Lizzie since we're alone. "How are you Lizzie?" She asks. "About Dauntless I'm fine I guess need to work on controlling my anger at him. About him, can't wait to be rid of him for good." I reply. She nods.

"How has your life been in dauntless? I wanna know the details girl so your starting from the choosing ceremony last year!" I tell Chrissy. She laughs and nods.

"Ok so choosing ceremony. I didn't know what to choose since leaving Candor would be leaving mum and Rose. But I couldn't stay there. So I picked Dauntless since I didn't want to go anywhere else. I ended up getting on the train and then the stiff jumped on and we became fast friends. Then she was the first to jump from the building- bravery right there. Then we had initiation and she ended up first place. She was known as Beatrice but here she goes by Tris. Personally I like Tris better it suits her better. Anyway. After I remembered all about the letter and then sometimes cried myself to sleep at night thinking I'd never see you again. We were like sisters. But Rose is my actual sister by blood you're my sister by love." She explains that much. "Chrissy oh Chrissy." I sit beside her and hug her with tears streaming down my face. "I hate him for fooling you" I say. "Then Tris and Four became an item. That was a surprise to everyone. Will and I are an item." She blushes at her confession. I just grin wide at her. "Oh Chrissy that's awesome for you. Now continue the story." I smile. She laughs and nods.

"After initiation we got jobs and living spaces and well I thought of you everyday. Now that I know that your alive I'm as happy as an Amity on Peace serum." I laugh at the Amity on Peace serum part. "I'm happy too Chrissy." I grin.

"Lizzie you tell me about your time before you came here." Chrissy says looking at me with puppy dog eyes. I laugh "alright alright no need for puppy eyes!" "Well when I didn't get a letter saying what faction you chose then I got sespicious. But oh well. Anyway. I was in Abnegation so nothing much happened. I fed Factionless I helped with dinner, I did my schoolwork. Nothing much. Then my ceremony. Well I didn't want to go back to Candor since the memories of him. Plus I don't think I could go back anyway. Abnegation was ok but I couldn't see me being Abnegation all my life. Erudite is no jus no then Amity is to happy go lucky. Dauntless could help me defend myself if he escaped or in the real world so here I am." I say. "Interesting." Chrissy says.

"Interesting?" I ask. "Yeah what do you want me to say?" She asks in return. "I don't know good point." I reply.

I look at the time and see it's almost time for curfew so I get up. "As much as I'd love to chat all might I have to get back to the dorms. I'll see you tomorrow at lunch?" I ask my best friend. "Yes of course Lizzie. I'll see you tomorrow have a good night." Chrissy says.

I leave her apartment and head to the dorms. And think about our conversation. She said that she sometimes cried herself to sleep before she knew that I'm actually alive. Poor Chrissy. Man end of initiation can't come fast enough. That way his execution will be here and the world will be rid of him. At last. Oh well just a bit longer.

I reach the dorms and change into some comfortable pj like clothes and get into bed. Tomorrow is a new day and a day closer to his demise.

Good night world.

I close my eyes and sleep takes me in.
