📖 Author's Note
Hi loves 💕 Welcome to Between the Classes (Two Different Worlds).

Yogamaaya is a boarding campus tucked inside Coorg's hills-prayers at dawn, classes by day, secrets by night. Meet Vidhu, Akshu, Nikki... and the man whose eyes change everything.

The bell rang before dawn, dragging the whole campus out of dreams.

Akshu shook me for the third time.
"Vidhu, get up. Prayer in ten."

"Five more minutes 😴," I mumbled, hugging the pillow tighter.

"You said that yesterday too."

From the corridor, a familiar voice carried through the half-open door.
"My darling still asleep? Akshu, just pour a bucket of water-problem solved 😏."

"Shut up, Nikki!" Akshu shouted back.

I groaned. "Who even lets him hang around the girls' hostel this early?"

His laugh echoed like it belonged to the sunrise. "What to do, darling? My heart dragged me here ❤️."

Akshu rolled her eyes and tugged the quilt away. "Ignore him. Now get up."

By six, the prayer hall on the fourth floor was alive with chants, incense, and sleepy faces pretending to meditate 🕉️. Half an hour of prayer, half an hour of yoga. By seven-thirty, the campus transformed again-students rushing between showers, uniforms, and the smell of breakfast drifting from the canteen.

We found Nikki leaning against a pillar near the canteen entrance, balancing two idlis on his plate like trophies.
"Finally, my favorite ladies arrive 😎. Took you long enough."

I frowned. "Don't call me that."

"Fine," he grinned. "Future wife, then?" 💍

"Stop before I hit you with your own plate," I muttered.

Akshu stole one idli off his plate without asking. "If you don't shut up, I'll support her."

"Betrayed by both my darlings 😭," Nikki gasped dramatically.

We laughed as we walked inside.

The canteen buzzed with voices-everyone already gossiping.

"Some guy coming for a demo class today."
"Interview, I think?"
"Physics, right?"

Nikki leaned across the table, lowering his voice. "Imagine, someone new stepping into our Physics hall 👀."

Akshu smirked. "Hope he's boring so Vidhu can recover from yoga."

"I only did half a pose," I defended.

"Exactly 😏." She shook her head, sipping her coffee.

Nikki tapped his cup against mine like a toast. "To the demise of our calm. Whoever he is, may he at least be entertaining."

We didn't know then how right he was.

The Demo Class

By 8:55, the Physics hall was packed. Desks filled faster than usual. A couple of senior professors whispered in the back row. The Principal sat straight, glasses glinting, expression like stone.

"Whoever he is, he's late," Nikki muttered.

The door clicked.

He wasn't late. He was quiet.

Tall. White shirt, crisp as chalk. Black trousers. A single piece of chalk between his fingers like a promise.

He didn't waste a word. Walked to the board. Wrote in clean, confident letters:
