Chapter 1

"Get back here, you stupid little shit!"

One upon a time, there was a piece ful world with no war, no hate, no one had to experience hunger and no one knew that everything wasn't real. People thought that everything was rainbow and butterflies, which obviously isn't true because every light has a shadow. But let's start from the beginning, so 20 years ago.

New VR glasses were put to the market, called "Altra super better than 3D max max max ballah digka boah ey with extra sparkle." In short, "ASBT3DMMMBDEWES" or for the extra layzi "AS".

At first, it started as a trend on the internet, saying that it's Soooooooo cool to have one and that this decision is way better than any other game. Soon, more and more people bought these VR glasses until almost everyone had it. They were surprisedly cheap for this kind of quality, only 5 bucks. Everyone was happy with their new toy, I mean, who wouldn't want to be in a world where you could start over your life and be everyone who you want to be without being judged.

One day, there was a special event, and everyone who owned one of these AS logged in that day to collect whatever item it was for sale. Nobody knows anymore what it was. As people started wanting to log out, they noticed that it won't work. They started to panic, but the handler reassured them that it would quickly be fixed and everyone should just continue doing their task or whatever they wanted. And everyone believed it.

Time passed so fast that no one knew that it's been 20 years. Every old person either is still going off strong or passes away while being able to say goodbye. Some people also who are now either little kids or teenagers. And every kid is now a grown up. Even Zaki who doesn't even know what a toilet paper is. Yet no one knows him.

Zaki is a young man with shoulder length wavy brown hair which is cut with messy layers, has blue eyes, and pale skin on his scared body. He was the only one who hadn't bought the AS. Why, you may ask? Because he was only 4 and hadn't had the money. Zaki grew up in a poor household where every penny was worshipped. As Zaki was just turning 4 his parents left, probably because there were eaten by the many dangerous creatures around the area they lived.

It sounds a bit catchy with the dead parents thing, I know, but it's the truth. Zaki had to live on his own for the past 20 years and grew up to be an expert in surviving in the wild. Feeding himself from the rain water and eating the berries, meat, plants, or anything that was eatable. Zaki knew every part of the land, yet he never dared to go to one special area. It smells weird there. He would always think to himself when he goes past this area.

But one day, he was out of meat and had to go hunting. Zaki was so focused on catching the Gleer that he hadn't noticed where he was going.
