Now that the two mechs were alone in the medical bay room, they left still giddy and excited. Even though they shared a bit of jealousy when S-23 was separated from the two within seconds by Sentinel. Of course, they chose not to question it, knowing that whatever Sentinel tells her, she'd be willing to share with them.
"Can you believe it!? Sentinel Prime! The Sentinel Prime!" D-16 giddied over as he opened his servos and raised them up a bit, a large grin on his scratched faceplate as he shook in excitement and joy over personally meeting his hero and idol.
"Still mad at me?" Orion asked teasingly.
"Less mad at you." D-16 piped back as he bumped metal fists with his long-time friend.
Orion spoke up again, still proud of his choices and glad that they had lead to something greater for all three of them. "I'm telling you D, I've got this feeling that everything is going to be-"
Heavy, large footsteps intercepted the blue and red miners' voice as both cogless miners turned to the source of the sound.
Heavy breathing was heard from the footsteps as both pairs of blue and yellow optics widened in surprise and slight fear at the fact that a familiar face had found them.
"GRR!! MINERS!! GRR!!" Groaned Darkwing as he approached the two.
"..Oh..Darkwing.." D-16 recognized a little too late.
...
Meanwhile...
Sentinel walked alongside S-23 in an empty hallway. His tall and graceful frame gleamed even in the dim lighting of the medical facility they were both in. Airachnid followed behind them at a close distance.
The femme miner felt flustered and very jumpy, anticipating the possible future events that will occur.
'Will I get special treatment?'
'Is he going to point out my work?'
'What do I do!?'
She panicked on the inside, trying her hardest to not to panic or pass out from absolute embarrasment. Her metallic faceplate was already warming up, and any moment longer with the handsome prime would leave her burnt out.
Sentinel Prime stopped in his tracks, there was no one else in this hall. Only he, Airachnid, and S-23. He turned around to face the cogless femme, staring her down before offering her a graceful smile.
S-23 faced him, staring up at him with her white optics, she kept her servos by her sides, knowing she'd be fiddling with them at the moment due to how nervous she was. She was visibly blushing, and clearly excited to whatever he had to say.
"So, S-23, I've noticed how different you appear from your brethren." Sentinel Prime spoke up first, his optics roaming around her smaller form, clearly taking in each intricate detail she carried.
He noticed scratched surfaces, discolored parts of her plating, and clear joint-pain. He hummed before snapping his two digits together.
"Seeing that you carry a lot more potential than your other cogless friends, why not join me as my assistant. Airachnid here can teach you how to act as one." He turned over to the spider-like cybertronian, who only stared directly at S-23, her gaze strong and unmoving.
"..Be your assistant..?" S-23 mumbled back.
"Of course! Besides, you're way more pleasing to look at, no offense to your friends obviously." He let out a half-chuckle before composing himself. He kneeled down to meet the femme's level. "I'm sure you'd even look the part! Like a high-class citizen! I can even offer even better sleeping quarters for you." The primes' hand reached over to her, lifting up her chin. "Now, how does that sound to you? Will you accept?"
Okay, well S-23 was losing it now. THE Sentinel Prime, was holding her chin, offering her a better place to reside in, offering a job that will have her standing right by his side!? If i needed to remind you again, HE'S TOUCHING HER!
S-23, the femme bot was already going to explode. 'How can I say no!?'
"So, what will your answer be?" Sentinel's digit grazed over her jaw.
'IS IT JUST ME OR IS MY SPARK FLARING UP!?' She panicked even more, her spark was practically jumping at the fact Sentinel Prime was being so gentle and sweet with her. 'FOR PRIMUS' SAKE! S-23! ANSWER HIM!' She mentally shouted at herself, before speaking up.
"Of course, I'd love to work alongside you. It would be an honor." Her voice was smooth, calm and collected, the complete opposite of what was going through that little mind of hers'.
Sentinel's smile only grew before slowly pulling his servo away from her. He continued speaking then, "Great! As soon as we come back from our expedition, I'll be happy to appoint you officially as my new assistant. For now, just wait until I return." He waved her off, now leaving alongside Airachnid, whose multiple optics remained stuck on the cogless miner, observing her before briefly leaving and continued to lead the prime towards the exit.
As soon as the two left, and were obviously out of earshot. S-23 couldn't help but squeal in excitement. She was giddy, the fact that her celebrity crush, the only prime alive as of now had asked her personally to be his new assistant, and even offered her a new place to rest in was already enough to get her going on a spark attack.
And the fact that he had held her chin, touched her so intricately in such a gentle way had added fuel to her already rampaging spark.
With excitement, she rushed back to the medical room where D-16 and Orion Pax should be. Her metal pedes took her as she ran to where they were meant to be. She skidded to stop and caught her breath before entering.
"Guys! Guess what!-" She stopped speaking when she noticed they were both gone. "Huh..thats strange.." she muttered, looking around the room. "Maybe they were already escorted..?" She hummed in confusion.
The sound of heavier footsteps were heard entering the medical room she was in.
She slowly turned around to meet the source. Her white optics slowly climbed to meet the gaze of the large cybertronian mech, who stared back at her behind his purple lenses.
"Another miner..must've missed one" His voice was rough, but still gentle.
"Darkwing?" S-23 stared at the taller mech in surprise. Usually he supervised around her peers, and was often stuck by the mining facility. She never figured he'd be up here.
Suddenly, he picked her up, hoisted her over his shoulder.
"W-wait!" She gasped in surprised and tried to pull away from his strong yet surprisingly gentle hold. "Where are you taking me!? It isn't my shift yet!"
..
The drop down was absolutely scary for S-23, she shouted throughout the entire ride down, her legs flailing in absolute fear as Darkwing took her straight down to Primus knows where.
When he landed, he kicked open the front door, gently placed her down and then shut the door and left.
S-23 was still shaking. "Wait!" She turned around and her servo pounded onto the door. She sighed and her shoulders dropped.
"'23?" A familar voice resounded behind her.
She turned around and stood up. "Pax?"
She took in the scene of the room she was placed in, a furnace, a small track that seemed to take useless piles of metal into said furnace, and another area, where for some reason there were makeshift bots.
There were three mechs in the room, not including her. Orion, D-16 and an unfamiliar yellow mech.
"Umm.." S-23 was confused, looking around in confusion.
"Oh look! Another roommate!" smiled the yellow mech.
