'What, but you've barely given me anything!' He whined.
I was gonna explain it to him but #555 was quick to remove him from the room himself. When he finally did get him out of the room he sighed and said, "you looked to be deep in thought, something about your squad right?"
I nodded, "lucky you, you have a girl on your team!"
He teased, "you got a secret relationship with her or something?"
I looked away embarrassed which only made his teasing worse. I'm not surprised that he knows about #211, because of the bombshell #789 dropped on me it'd be more surprising if someone didn't know.
Eventually I left the room on my own, leaving #555 inside. When I was in the hallway I simply leaned against the door. For the first time in a long time, I could breathe and relax. I touched my lens and could see the dust on fingertips when I pulled away.
I decided to pay a visit to the Engineer cameraman to get a new lens. He was extremely quick and applied with expert precision. When he was done I looked around and realized how faulty that lens must've been. So much color and detail as now shown, with an extra layer of focus. No wonder I thought there were hundreds of Alliance members here.
When I left his room I realized that I didn't have anything I needed to do right now. I could look for my squad but I didn't even know where to begin. For the first time in a long time I had nothing to do.
I didn't know where I should go but from the corner of my lens I saw repeated black smoke. I was confused but then something pulled me towards it, was it TV woman? I would love to catch up with her and talk, I think she's opened up to me since our time in the forest.
My walk turned into a quick jog as I ran down the hallway, but to my dismay the only TV people there were some really big TV guy with a flat screen teleporting crates and the TV man who tackled me in the court room. The Elite TV man, or Dark TV man. Whatever his name is.
Saddened I sat down on some crates, it seemed that I was in the center of this base as everyone in there had there eyes me. I looked up to see a cameraman approaching me but he was stopped halfway, and he was stopped by none other than Detective cameraman.
He turned the cameraman around and then made his own way towards me. He sat down on the crate next to me, he knows I don't want to see his face. He's the whole reason I was accused of being a traitor, he's not idiot and he's not here to talk. There's something he wants.
Neither of us signed anything until, 'you remember Lucky cameraman right, I mean, I would hope so since he was one of your best friends back in the day.'
I didn't bother replying to him, but he didn't care. 'Recently I had a conversation with him, it was very interesting.'
'A conversation?' I couldn't help myself but ask.
'Yes, as a Detective it's my job to figure out the truth. But I would never have expected something like this.' He was teasing me, trying to get me to ask what he learned.
'What did you learn?' I caved.
He looked at me, 'oh nothing, but I believe this is yours.'
He handed me a photo, at first I thought it was a photo of TV woman as an insult but to my shock it was nothing of the sort. He handed me the photo I stole from Alpha Labs. The one with the two people handshaking and with three people in the back.
'Where did you get this?' I asked.
'The tooth fairy.' He got up and walked leaving me there in stunned silence.
The man on the right who's shaking the other guys hand, there's no mistaking it. That's Boom. I stared at the photo unsure of what to make of it. I gently folded it and tucked it in one of my pockets.
