"HENRY!" Callie screeched, running up to the brunette, immediately embracing him in a hug.
"Hi, Cal!" he laughed, hugging her back tightly. "How have you been?"
She squeezed him, the lonely feeling she had felt since he had left for Dystopia finally fading. "I've been okay!"
Ray didn't waste any more time. He ran up to his former sidekick, and immediately tackled him into a hug. "Welcome back, buddy!"
Henry smiled back. "Kind of tight there, big dog."
"Oh!" Ray gripped his arm, burying his face into his chest. "I have missed you so much!"
Henry winced. "I think I just heard a rib crack."
Ray chuckled. "It's gonna be more than one by the time I'm done with you!"
"Personal space, dad," Callie advised, stepping in to separate the two for Henry's sake. He didn't release, though, so the rest of the Danger Force girls had to come near to help.
"Do not make me get the crowbar!" Chapa yelled as the others ordered Ray off.
"It's okay, I got this," Henry promised. "But, you might wanna step back."
The girls walked back slightly, and Henry activated the force field he got from the Omega Weapon. The green burst of power sent Ray flying against the floor, groaning as his body collided.
Miles pointed. "You hate to see it!"
Henry reached out a hand to help Ray up, and he took it nervously. "Sorry, I just got a little emotional there. It's just that, uh, you've been gone a long time and Callie and I have been so alone."
The rest of the kids cleared their throats angrily, but the blonde sunk her head into the cushioned couch.
"Quiet, I'm talking to Henry!" Ray snapped. "So, uh, hey, what are you doing back in Swellview?"
Henry breathed. "Well, my dad is actually graduating from Juillard.com."
Ray scoffed. "No way! Your dad's a moron, he couldn't graduate from online Harberd."
"Yeah, dude, he's so dumb!" Henry agreed. "No, I'm actually here to see you!"
"Aw...little birdie flew right back to the nest!" Ray's heart warmed at the thought of his honorary kid. "Come give mama bird a big ol' hug!"
Ray rushed towards him once again, wrapping his arms around the young adult in the denim jacket.
Henry accepted his fate, sighing softly as he turned his head to the group inside the hug. "So, how's my old job? You guys go on any sick missions?"
