But a scared and lonely child who was just trying to protect his already vulnerable community didn't exactly fit those ideals. It still made his heart ache whenever he thought about how much of a burden you carried on your shoulders.

But for now he had to push back those thoughts and get started on breakfast, making sure to cook extra in consideration of his uninvited guest. Tsukauchi can tell when the smell of food hits your nostrils as your figure begins stirring until you eventually sit up, "Good morning L/N." Tsukauchi calls out from the kitchen.

"Morning." You grumble tiredly flopping back down onto the couch.

"I made tamagoyaki for breakfast if you would like some." He says, watching as your groggy frame ambles its way towards the kitchen counter.

Tsukauchi's house was a very modern, cookie cutter kind of home that lacked any sense of personality. Everything was as bare bones as it could be with no personal affects or decor to be seen, just plain drab white walls and furniture that looked like it had been ripped straight from a magazine. To you it was an obvious sign of what took priority in Tsukauchi's life, that being his work. From what you could tell Tsukauchi didn't really have any friends. Maybe his sister but that doesn't really count (and if you had to guess she probably taught him how to cook.)

"Sleep well?" Tsukauchi inquires as you take a seat on one of the stools situated on the other side of the counter.

You yawn a little, trying to rub the sleep from your eyes, "Far from it." Is all you say. That doesn't surprise him, you probably had a lot on your mind in between last nights visit and school.

"So about last night... I have some more things I need to ask you." Tsukauchi says placing a plate of food in front of you.

As you eat Tsukauchi asks an array of questions, most of which you were familiar with given all the times he had questioned you in the past. Although this time was different since you were actually the victim for once. 'Where were you at the time?', 'was anyone else present at the scene?', standard police stuff really but he needed to know for his report so you answer each one with care.

"Thank you L/N I'll see what I can do with these." Tsukauchi tells you, putting down his notepad so he can start cleaning up the kitchen.

Just as you stand up to leave and go change into your school uniform, one last thing pops into your head. "Um Tsukauchi I just remembered something actually." The detective stops cleaning and looks at you curiously. "Shigaraki said someone had sent them to recruit me. I don't think he meant to reveal that but I'm guessing whoever he was referring to is their leader or something adjacent."

A flicker of what you gauge to be concern or fear flashes across his face before he lets out a heartfelt chuckle and stretches out an arm to ruffle your hair. "And that's why I asked for your help, always too clever for your own good." He's obviously trying to cover something up and you're tempted to bring it up but get the feeling he wouldn't give you anything even if you asked.

Besides you had to get ready for school.

You grab your uniform from your bag and quickly put it on how you normally would, with the top two buttons undone and your tie loosely hung around your neck.

You head to the front door and put your shoes on, ready to leave but as you reach for the door handle Tsukauchi comes around the corner now wearing his coat and hat along with his briefcase by his side. When he spots you his eyebrows furrow as he locks on to your disheveled school uniform. "Do you always go to school like that?" He asks.
