Megan has always been a little.... Odd... and for someone who was born into a society of people born with supernatural powers..., that's saying a whole lot of things.

From the moment Megan was born she has always been a little different from the others.

At the hospital when the Skiendiels had finally gotten the chance to finally see their new born baby.., they noticed two things.

One, the baby had bright orange hair, not even ginger orange, it was orange orange, which.., honestly wasn't that abnormal despite the fact that none of her parents had orange hair.

In a society where people were literally born with superpowers that were originally found only in comics, Natural colored hair was already considered normal, but in a very conventional country like Singapore, a country where colored hair is quite rare.

They already knew their daughter is going to stand out.

The next thing they noticed was the fact that the baby wasn't crying, sure they weren't exactly expecting full hysterics but they had at least expected some sort of reaction, especially since it has already been half an hour.

But when the girl's father asked the doctor, the foreign man with a weird British accent had just said in rushed and rude manner, "Look, mate, the kid's fine, all right? Don't be fussin' over nothin'. We've got all the stats right here, and your baby's tickin' all the boxes. 70% of births are normal, and yours is no exception. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got more pressing matters to attend to. You're lucky, innit? Don't be botherin' us with unnecessary worries"

Not the most nicest doctor in the world but Mr Skiendiels had seen worst back in the US.

While the two parents stared at their baby girl in worry, who just stared back, Tyler, Megan's older brother, couldn't help but smile warmly at his new younger sister.

"Happy birthday Megan" the two year said softly while kissing the baby on her forehead, which cause the blank staring baby to finally have a reaction.

A small adorable smile, almost like she knew the value of that kiss. The smile made the parents smile has well, cooing at the adorable reaction.

And just like that, the universe basically threw Megan into the sick and twisted rollercoaster we people like to call, 'Life'.

And just as her parents expected, as Megan grown up, she did start to stand out from the others kid around her but not in a good way.

But it wasn't just because of her orange hair tho...

"媽咪,我唔想再同 Megan 玩喇。佢好奇怪" A young boy around her age tried to subtly 'whisper' to his mother in the playground. (Mom, I don't want to play with Megan anymore. She's weird)

Emphasis on the word 'whisper' because ¹ the kid didn't know how to properly whisper yet and ² he was literally standing right next to her while only cupping his mouth with one hand.

Sure they were only a few steps away from their parents but still...

The young girl heard what he said but she just watch as his mother took the boy's hand and lead him away from the sand box, lightly scolding her son for calling her weird.

Even though deep down, she also felt the same way about the girl.

"喂,嗰個唔係斯金迪爾太太個細路咩" she whispered to her friend beside her. (Hey, isn't that Mrs Skiendiel kid)

"係呀,佢係,我諗佢叫 Megan,佢係個奇怪嘅細路 ... ..." (Yes she is, I think her name is Megan, she is a weird kid tho)

"係呀我完全同意我個仔,佢有少少奇怪,我從來都冇真正鍾意佢橙色嘅頭髮,而我覺得個女仔太聰明,因為佢自己好,你知啦"
