"Fine. If you insist. I suppose that I'll see you around. . . ."
I turned, trailing off. I spun on her heel, storming away from them.
My cheeks burned. I didn't know what his attitude was about. Even though I knew this was highly impossible, maybe I could somehow change that and, eventually, make him regret being rude to me. I was lost in my thoughts about the rude boy, until —
"Annie! Get in here! Guess who I found," the familiar voice of Ron Weasley filled my ears, causing me to halt.
"What, Ron?" I asked, feeling irritated.
"Geez, don't be grumpy at me," Ron grumbled, glaring at me. I couldn't help but feel slightly guilty of my snappy behavior. "What have I done to you?"
"Sorry," I apologized. "Ran into some bullies while trying to find you. Who did you find?"
My interests were piqued. Ron motioned towards the boy sitting across from him. My eyes flickered towards the dark-haired boy, who looked oddly similar to me. The only thing different was that he had bright blue eyes and glasses. Unlike me, I had brown eyes and no glasses.
"I suppose that you're the Eleanore Potter Ron's been telling me about?" the dark-haired boy asked casually, his tone innocent.
"Yeah, I am. Who are you?"
Ron smacked his head against his palm before glaring at me.
"Seriously, Annie? Are you blind right now?"
"Annie?" The boy asked.
"A nickname we gave her. Fits her well, doesn't it?" Ron asked.
I rolled my eyes, ignoring Ron's comment on my nickname. "As I've said, I'm still mad at a couple of bullies that I ran into earlier," I answered coolly.
"I'm Harry," the dark-haired boy interrupted, his eyes still locked on mine. "Harry Potter." He eyed her cautiously. "I suppose that you're Eleanore? My sister?"
I stilled at this. I'd momentarily forgotten that I had a brother and that I was supposed to meet him today. Other than attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, I had mostly been looking forward to meeting my twin brother for the first time in eleven years.
I recovered, offering the boy a smile.
"Yes, I'm Eleanore. But please call me Annie. It's finally nice to meet you, Harry."
"Do you . . . .," Harry hesitated, "do you do hugs?"
"Of course!" she exclaimed.
The two embraced each other. The boy sighed, leaning into my touch. I could tell that he hadn't felt like this in a long time.
"This is nice," he finally admitted.
I frowned. I suddenly felt protective of my younger twin brother. "Why? Did our aunt and uncle not give you enough attention?"
Harry hesitated before shaking his head in my neck. I was outraged when I learned this. My eyes flashed furiously. I pulled away from the hug, though reluctantly. I smiled at him.
"Well, when you need a hug, come to me. I'll give you as many a you need."
Harry grinned. I could tell that he hadn't felt this way in a long time. He relaxed his shoulders.
"Anything from the trolley, dears?" A tired voice asked them. They looked over to see a woman pushing a trolley.
"No, thanks," Ron answered, holding up what looked like a lumpy pack of sandwiches. He smiled, looking slightly embarrassed. "Annie and I are all set."
