Mrs. Darby just raised an unamused brow at the two teenagers.

"You two are so troubling at times," Mrs. Darby sighed. "And don't you just 'Hey mom' me." She scolded Jack lightly, ruffling his hair as he made small noises of protests against it.

"Oh, c'mon. All of you should know at this point that trouble is my middle name." Miko huffed out proudly.

"We do, unfortunately, know that." Ratchet said dryly.

"You know how most teenagers are." Mrs. Darby gave an amused smile towards Ratchet before turning her attention back on Saiki.

"Come, I'll examine you on the couch. It'll be comfortable enough there." Mrs. Darby turned to speak to Saiki with a kind look on her face as she gestured for him to follow her up the stairs towards where the couch was located.

Saiki's expression softened slightly. He nodded and followed Mrs. Darby to the couch. Seeing her reminded him of his own mom, and even if it was a bit unpleasant given his situation, it still comforted him. Even if it was just a little bit.

Once they got to the couch, Saiki sat down as Mrs. Darby gestured for him to do so.

Just then, Raf had finally arrived with the bottle of water and immediately handed it over to Saiki.

"Sorry if I took a bit long," Raf apologized with a small shrug, timidly and politely smiling at Saiki. "The base is really big and it's kind of easy to get lost in them."

"It's fine." I should ask for a tour next time, so I could just get it myself. And I am still curious about this whole base thing. Saiki opened the bottle and took a few sips of the water, but then also just finished it. Only now realizing how much he really did need a drink.

I still want to drink some coffee..

"Oh, and uhm, hello Mrs. Darby." Raf greeted the woman who smiled kindly at the young boy.

"Hello, Raf." Mrs. Darby greeted Raf in turn.

"Raf! Come on, let's go! I'm getting bored already!" Miko could be heard yelling and complaining from down below with Jack right beside her.

"I better get going now." Raf said before giving a small wave towards Saiki and Mrs. Darby and went down the stairs to go meet up with Miko and Jack, Miko dragging the two boys along with her.

"I'll just be conducting a normal body examination, I'm sure you're familiar with this already when you go to visit the doctors." Mrs. Darby explained.

"First," Mrs. Darby started as she unwrapped the stethoscope that was around her neck. "I'm just going to listen to your chest."

"If it's alright, I have to ask for you to temporarily remove your shirt for this step. Just for a bit so the stethoscope can properly hear through your chest." Mrs. Darby asked kindly as she prepared to use the stethoscope.

Saiki nodded as he slowly took off his shirt and it neatly folded by itself next to him and floated onto the arm of the couch.

"Oh, also please warm up your chest first while I clean and sanitize the stethoscope." Mrs. Darby asked as she grabbed a piece of cloth and wet it with something as she cleaned up the main area of the stethoscope.

"It's just so that you'll feel more comfortable with the feeling of the cold stethoscope on your skin." Mrs. Darby explained.

Warm up.. Saiki sneakily used pyrokinesis to "warm up" his chest.

..I think I made it a little too warm, but maybe she won't notice that anyway. At least I didn't accidentally start a fire or anything.

Once Mrs. Darby had finished cleaning and sanitizing the stethoscope, she placed the chest piece on Saiki's chest.
