William’s voice was low.
"I’m in."

He dropped those words like they didn’t weigh anything.

But his face... it said a lot.

Yusif and I just sat there, staring at him — no one knew what to say immediately.

"You okay?" I finally asked.

He nodded slowly, but the nod didn’t match his body.

His eyes were red. His shirt had dried patches of sweat. And his shoes looked like he had been dragging them through a battlefield.

"You sure?" Yusif added. "Because... bro, you don’t look okay at all."

William let out a dry laugh and leaned back.

"They beat us like goats," he said, still trying to smile. "One guy even fainted. Another one vomited. It was wild."

We just sat in silence.

"You still think it’s worth it?" I asked.

He shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe in time, yeah. But right now? I just want to sleep."

He pulled his blanket over his head and didn’t say another word.

The whole day went slowly.

Yusif and I didn’t talk much — both of us just did our own thing, occasionally glancing at William’s bed to check if he was still breathing.

He barely moved.

By evening, I sat outside our dorm building, just enjoying the fresh air.

A few guys were playing music not far away. Girls were laughing by the tap. Campus life continued, like nothing had happened.

But inside me... I felt uneasy.

This was real.

Cult stuff wasn’t just a story anymore — it was in our room now.

And somehow, I had this strange feeling...
This wasn’t the last of it.
