We decided to meet Kyle and Max at the Snack Bar at 152 Fulton St. and talk about what happened. Kyle took a bite of one of the usual sandwiches piled high with condiments and grabbed the bottle of beer."We're definitely in deep shit..." Kyle looked at us and turned around, once again looking at the waitress who'd served us. "And yet, that girl has a familiar ass..."

"Why do you recognize girls by their ass?" Max snatched the beer from Kyle and turned to us. "Guys, we won't even make the cut, I'm sure Adam's dad won't let us..." Daniel put his sandwich down on his plate.

"I'll make sure my dad talks to some very influential people in the music industry." He turned to me with a worried look. "How are you?"

"Better... Daniel, I have to thank you..." He didn't even let me finish my sentence when I saw him get up and turn to Mike and Kyle.

"I'm going to pay... Kyle, finish my sandwich, Adam, walk me to the register..." I got up and followed him, we stopped in front of the bar. "You don't have to thank me... I have to apologize to you," he continued while he was busy taking out his wallet. "The other night I acted like an idiot... I hope I didn't hurt or offend you in any way, I wasn't myself..." He turned to the girl at the register to hand her the money, who looked at him smiling.

"Hi, my friend at the counter and I were wondering if you live in the area... this is the first time we've seen you... don't you come here often?" Kyle appeared behind Daniel and interrupted.

"If you're interested, I come very often..." I turned and saw Max laughing. Daniel put the money down next to the register, didn't answer her, and headed for the exit.

"Guys, we have to go try out... we only have a month to prepare for the auditions..." He waved for us to follow. Kyle approached the girl's face, who spoke to Daniel.

"Okay, I have to say goodbye, beautiful... we'll try to come together next time..." Max grabbed Kyle's arm and dragged him along, turning to the girls.

"Leave him alone, he's an idiot." Trying to hold back a loud laugh, I said goodbye and followed them.

That day I'd skipped school and spent the whole day rehearsing with the kids, so that evening I locked myself in my room and studied until late. When I returned home for dinner, I didn't speak to either my mother or father. I simply asked Beth to make me a simple sandwich and took it to my room. I thought about Daniel's words and the reason for his apology it was obvious he was drunk that evening. I wanted to delve deeper and understand what his behavior might have been. After all, he meddled in my personal family affairs; I didn't understand why he didn't confide in me. I took out my phone and decided to text him.

(1:10 AM) "Hi... about your apologies the other night... I just wanted to let you know that I'll truly always be there for you. If you ever want to talk to someone, you can always trust me..."

I waited, but he didn't answer. I lay down on the bed and fell asleep.
