Y/n's truck slowed to a stop in the motel parking lot. It wasn't the nicest looking places, but looked okay enough. Stepping out, he smells mildew and old cigarettes in the air. As he gets closer to the office of the motel to book a room, he hears people going about their lives. Some snoring, some watching t.v., and couples arguing.

Mya's hands were moving. A common sight as she was quite an animated person, but this time it was because she was angry. He said something stupid. He had another fight. They both were emotional. Both over the top. But he overreacted. His hand moved.

Y/n put $120 on the counter, and the woman behind the counter slid back $5 in change. He took the key to his room for the night. Room 218. Y/n grabs his backpack from the passenger seat and walks up the open stair-walk-way to get to his room.

Opening the door he was struck by the overwhelming scent of lavender and clove trying to cover-up old smells of cigarettes and mildew.

A single bed sat centered in the room, facing an old school box tv sitting atop a dresser. The bathroom door was slightly ajar. A small desk sat next to the tv. An old looking and textured chair was half pushed in and out of the desk.

It would do.

Dropping his bag onto the desk chair Y/n continued towards the bathroom. Leaning over the counter he stared at himself in the mirror. His hands holding the edge of the counter his head begins to spin. His head hurts. His right hand gently massages his temple as he moves back to the bed.

Plopping down, the bed hardly moving, he breathes out softly. His neighbor's to his left were watching a movie too loud. The ones to the right were arguing.

A small object piques his interest on the side table. He picks it up, the blue rectangle adorned with a faded gold cross.

A bible.

He sets it back down and picks up the remote to the tv. Flicking on the power as the old tv hums to life.

And yet his eyes couldn't help hut wander back to that book.

Mya Lore drove down the highway. Her car quietly humming. Soft jazz quietly played as she listened to Belle and Reese talk. The irony of them casually discussing what to grab from a store to make when they get to a decent area after the crime they committed wasn't lost on her.

"I'm just saying, we can do a little better than ham sandwiches. We all have a good chunk of money! We could do, like, frozen meals or even order something." Belle argues. Belle always enjoyed more. Not to a disturbed level, but it could be annoying.

"We need to be wise with our money. No complexity until we have the availability." Reese counters. Reese didn't like complicated. She preferred to go with the flow. Reese was like Y/n in that way.

Y/n. She missed him. Why was he running? It was one bad fight. She thought of that damned note he left before moving out of their apartment, out of his, and then leaving town. It was pathetic. It made her blood boil.

Mya,
I'm not good for you, or myself. I hurt you in a way that is not excusable or redeemable. It's for the best if I leave. No one in town will miss me. Most will likely be able to breathe easier.

Y/n

What kind of a sorry excuse of a note was that? Not even declaring he still loved her or nothing? And right as she was about to let her friends involve themselves with him. Her, self-admitted, twisted desire and fantasy of watching Y/n be broken down by her best friends and herself was one she had since she was 14. When she had first started watching him.

Reese and Belle helping her...observations eventually developed their own feelings and desire for Y/n. At first she hated them for it. Her own friends, her sisters, falling for her man. But after pondering it for a while she realized how much easier watching over him would be. And even more, the bond she had with Belle and Reese was one she wouldn't be able to fathom losing, up there with losing Y/n.

Her hands tightened on the wheel. Her eyes glance to the right slightly. The gps showing just another hour before they arrive at the location. She swiped away a small droplet of blood falling from her brow.

"Say, Mya, why did you off the dude? I thought you were going to let him go for real!" Belle's voice broke her from her odd mental musings and reminiscing.

"Well, we would be arrested. That wouldn't be a good thing for our plans." Mya casually answered with seemingly no qualms.

Reese snickers,"It's just like Bailey Uream all over again." A scratch sounds as she uses a nail file on her left index finger.

Mya didn't say anything. Only thinking of Bailey's face of horror as Mya pushed her into the river. The girl falling down the embankment, breaking an arm. Reese and Belle behind Mya, staring just as coldly. Bailey made the mistake of admitting to wanting to tell Y/n L/n, the bully, how she likes him.

Mya stares forward, a small smile forming on her lips. As she hears a 4th person chuckle from the backseat.
