"Ay, sira ka rin pala, eh, 'no?" Dawn exclaimed after hearing Lea's plan, "Alam mo sa gagawin mo, para kang mags-suicide."
"Sige, saktan mo sarili mo. Push mo 'yan," Vice rolled his eyes at her, "Lea, if it hurts you, leave it. Don't push yourself to the extent na ikaw na mismo, sinasaktan mo na sarili mo."
Lea took the pillow beside her and placed it on her lap, "What's wrong with actually wanting to be friends with Aga again? Wala namang mali kung 'yon, gusto kong isalba. Guys, kahit 'yong friendship na lang."
"You can't."
"Why can't I?" she asked Vice, "Aga and I started as friends."
"Sa karera ba, 'pag natalo ka, pwede ka ulit bumalik sa starting line para matalo 'yong nanalo?" he asked her, intently looking at her eyes.
"Hindi," Lea replied.
"Pwede," he smirked and sat properly across her, "Pwede kang bumalik ulit sa kung saan ka nag-simula pero it wouldn't give you an assurance na 'yong kasama mong lumaban, babalik kasama mo."
Vice's words were too sharp that she felt them pierced on her heart. At some point, he was right. Aga is already holding his trophy and that is his girlfriend, Denise and it would be stupid if he goes back to where he and Lea started just to give Lea a chance.
"Utang na labas, Lea. Anim na taon kang nawala't nag-ipon ng lakas para harapin ulit si Aga. You tried so hard to build the walls tapos ikaw pa ngayon ang sisira no'n?"
"Guys, friendship lang naman ang hinihingi ko, eh. No strings attached."
The three laughed at her remark and it annoyed her.
"Alam mo, niloloko mo na lang 'yong sarili mo. Lea, you love Aga. Hindi mo pwedeng sabihing no strings attached if in the first place, you never detached yourself from him," Vina scolded her, "Lea, we want you to be happy, okay? Pero ayaw ka naming masaktan. What will you get from this plan? Really, friendship? O pain?"
"Makakaya mo bang makipag-kaibigan sa taong laging may parte sa buhay mo? No."
"You can be civil with Aga pero you can't just be friends with him again... yet," Dawn told her, "Ikaw lang din ang mahihirapan."
In the end, she wanted to follow what her heart wants. If she gets hurt, so be it. At least she did something to bring them back to how they used to be before.
"If I get hurt, okay. At least alam kong sinubukan ko. Kung mabigo ako, it's fine. That's life."
Vice heaved a deep sigh, "Lea Salonga is eating all the pride remaining in her system to be friends with the person who has hurt her many times, huh? Gusto niyo 'yon?!"
"Basta kami, Lea, pinagsabihan ka namin."
She didn't bother answering anymore.
It's final. She wanted to be friends with Aga again.

I was about to start the engine of the car to go to the nearest coffee shop when my phone buzzed.
Pakiramdam ko'y kailangan ko ng mainit na kape kasi nanlamig ako kanina sa pagka-haba-habang panenermon sa akin ng mga kaibigan ko. Alam ko naman, naiintindihan ko naman 'yong gusto nilang iparating sa akin pero hindi na no'n mababago ang isip ko.
