You know, writing this really took me BACK. I mean back to when shifting was a thing during the pandemic on SHIFTTOK frfr
(I have to admit, I was never successful with the technique and I'm quite sad about that - although lucid dreaming has always come in fabulous and I contemplate whether it's the same thing)
Anyways, alongside Hogwarts, I really wanted to shift here. To The Maze Runner.
Now here I am, spontaneously making a story based on that shifting world.

What you just read was my literal dreams back in 2020. All because, when I was about 12 years old, I turned on the movie for the first time and adapted the biggest freaking crush on Newt. Then I read the books that same year and I think - if you're here - we call all agree he's just so 🫠 and his British accent is so 😩.
...
And then he dies.
AND MY LIFE LITERALLY ENDED
so obviously going into writing this (and my thoughts from five years back in 2020) I knew I needed to adapt the ending. SO BASICALLY I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY HOW THAT STORY CONCLUDED.
I KNOW that Newt is alive and this is now just proof and they'll live happily ever after. Duh.
If anyone tries to tell me otherwise I'll be very upset.
SO in conclusion, if you're here reading this, I hope you enjoyed that story I wrote on a whim to please younger me. Perhaps it pleased you too. I hope it didn't feel too rushed. I also hope you all love Bob Marley's Three Little Birds. If you've seen the film I Am Legend you'll know what I was getting at - warning don't watch that movie if you're a dog lover.
But yes love these characters so so so much love the story both on screen and paper.
It also lowkey terrifies me that I'm now older than these book characters 😭😭 but it's okay because the actors are still older than me so it's not illegal... right?
Time to move on 🥴
