Her words feel like warm water running through my frozen core, and I have to blink back the tears watering in my eyes. I sniff quietly.

"Thank you."

Caleb's already looking at me when I turn to him, but it's more a look of concern than excitement for what I'm about to ask.

"Roof?"

His face does a full spectrum of emotions until his lips settle into a mirthy smirk trying to bite back the excitement.

"I'll grab the coats you sneak some alcohol?"

I nod and I can feel my face split into a grin before quickly shrug off his coat and handing it to him. Turning to the others with a rejuvenated attitude.

"Let's not let this ruin the night. It's New Year's, we deserve to have some fun!"

The four look between me and Caleb with confusion. Felix the most sceptical speaks up first.

"What type of fun?"

Caleb's slipping his jacket on as I explain.

"It's not leaving the party if we're still in the building."

"Hell ya!"

Juleka, uncharacteristically, is the first to get excited. The cycle of boring conversation obviously has forced her out of her shell a bit. The cousins on the other hand look at each other wearily. Adrien speaks for them.

"We'd need our parents to not catch us or the 'Gorilla'."

Caleb snorts and doesn't even look up from his phone. He's taking long strides towards the door."Consider it done. You dudes with me, leave the girls to pick out our drinks."

"I have a bad feeling about all of this."

Feliz grumbles. I grab Juleka's hand with a giggle, she interlocks with my fingers, and I pull her out the door after the boys.

It takes us all about a half hour to sneak around and find all of the supplies we need without being caught by our caretakers. Juleka and I are much slower because of our floor-length dresses, but we still manage to grab a bottle of liquor from the bartender who looked as though he wanted to end it all. As well as some old black tablecloths to use as blankets.

When Juleka finally rounds the corner in the back area of one of the smoking parlors the boys are scrolling their phones, Adrien does his best to hide a yawn. The group startles when we round the corner.

"Took you two long enough, I already picked the lock."
